well i'd hate to here yall if charge shot 2 worked right. Wasnt it supposed to knockdown mulitple opponents?

Oh, yeah, you really want to take away the only thing we have going?


Because the specials cost so little HAM, and ALL of the weaponsmiths are making the best carbines.

Hell, the market is practically flooded with krayt carbines. And its just soooo easy to get up to that ability when you dont have **edit**. And I just LOVE paying 7k for buffs, because without them I couldnt kill a goddamn thing EXCEPT MYSELF.

If no one else is going to do it i will have to call BS on this. There is no way to solo the dragons or the ATSTwith chargeshot as the KD doesnt work on the ATST most of the time and it still fires even when it does( it just woobles most of the time) and with the dragons in the 1 sec cap BTWN shots the dragon with cover the 64 m to you and then one hit and DB in the same stroke.

I am a true MBH, but our KDs are so terrible ( they were once the best in the game ) that I must use chargeshot to even have a chance of hitting a KD. The real problem is when a Carbineer goes 0400 BH... thats somthing to be scared of. MBH is the biggest skill point waste in teh game right now.

Actully i think its overpowered in one way and a another way not.....


It is overpowered due to you can keep your foe on the ground.... but its also very inaccurate and good chance to miss( esp in pvp).


Simple soulution would be to add 60 sec timer and let the knockdown be 5(maybe more)seconds on the victim.


However since highcost are high, this fix should be done AFTER class is fixed.

i gave up carbineer, but before i did, i soloed krayts. Master CM + chargeshot + cdef carbine speed sliced/speed PU + buffs + food + spice + composite = if you have enough time, and dont miss the krayt 7 times in a row, it dies.

chargeshot works just fine for this as long as hte mob has a range penalty (krayts only melee so you spam it from 40 meters or so, nightsisters cant use the force past around 30m).

like it or not, it's overpowered. I know thats not a popular opinion because the rest of the profession is busted as hell, but its the stark reality.

you know, you could just try not using chargeshot1 over and over again


Surprised noone else has mentioned this pretty easy solution to feeling ovepowered

The Devs said before release that people would find skill combo's they never even dreamed of that would blow away anything they had in mind. Calling for the nerf of the one item of the carbineer's repertoire that actually does someting is certainly not as bright as calling for the nerf of the Master Bounty Hunter's KD's, who have all those other wonderful shots you're saying are so nice. Perhaps we should simply make it less accessible... in the3rd teirbox? That would effectively put it beyond the reach of the BH dabblers.

On a side note to the carbineer aspects of these posts,one of most entertaining forums is the BH forum. It is basically an incessant whine about how gimped BH is, and how unfair the Jedis -- or anyone that has ever killed a BH in PvP -- are.


I have no idea what your thoughts on the subject are Elvandar, and I'm not picking on you per se, but I wanted to point out that posts like your original, and the response above, are part of the reason that BH's get no love from the Devs or many of the players. Sure, there are a lot of classes that are powerful, but here you are nonchalantly expressing your "uberness", while on the BH forum-- not by you necessarily -- BH's whine like infants about how weak they are.


It's great you can solo everything, but if you are one of the players who thinks that BH's have been nerfed to pieces, maybe you should reconsider.

Wow.... I wish my charge shots worked that well.


I usually have to use them two or three times before any dangerous mob goes down.


And, I've managed to kd a krayt twice. Twice! (and I live up next to the graveyard, so I've fought my share of them.) Oh, and each time, that krayt stood right back up before I could get off more than one more shot.


Yep. I'm overpowered all right.

Crying for self-nerfing is not a good thing to do. I haven't seen carbineers in PvP in a long time......

I've been a master Carbineer for months and months. Was a BH Carbine IV and carbineer 5 months ago. charged shot is not a true KD in PVE. It slows them down, fixing them in one spot for about 1 second. If you watch the Stand animation next to its health bar, as soon as you Charge shot, they stand right back up as if they never were down in the first place, then the animation takes over and thats is how they are fixed in the location, you do no special dmg, not like a real KD.


Trust me, Carbineer REALLY need charged shot to survive, No doubts about it, everyshot kills them, many times each shot costing them 130+ action ham. Cripplingself shot is the panultimate self suicide shot. Costing 230+ action ham to get it off. 230!!!! thats more dmg than your opponent can do.


Charged shot is powerful because you specifically pick professions that accentuate it, others like myself only have master carbineer and thats it.


IF you really want a Ueber killer profession try Combat medic. These guys can literally annihilate 10 guys at once without even breaking a sweat. Able to out range any weapon in the galaxy, has perfect accuracy, cost of using it is so low its laughable. Can cause permanent damage to your character due to disease, has no counter to it other than a doctor. No armour can stop it its effect. You have no protection to it due to its extremely rare poison resist loot. Wow, i can't help but think they are balanced.


Right now i despise CM and CM players who try to justify themselves. I love how they say, it takes time to fly around and gather resources.. Well Chefs take time ( i was a chef, carbineer) to get resources too, not any different, but i don't see myself wiping out armies by myself with my ueber chef food. I don't see Master Rifleman wiping out 10 guys in one area poison toss.
