definately waiting for combat balance...im in no hurry
from my limited jedi hunting experience...Ive been able to stick my mind poison on every jedi Ive faced...and at times it was the only damage I was able to dish out...Ive soloed padowans with my master carbineer, 4000 fencer, 0340 doctor template, I would expect the new template to be at least slightly more effective because its the same except Im speed capped and accurate as hell...
if anything the high melee/ranged gives me time to think...
-I was pleasantly surprised when I reviewed my combat log to see I was hitting 500-600 damage on a jedi knight using scatterblast,,,only hit for that amount 3 or 4 times,,the rest were under 100

My Jedi fiights where always higher level. They appear to be able to healthemselves of any state. But that was just me.

Here's a HUGE question........does the Jedi block the first shot? If their block skill doesn't work until your second attack, hitting them with a kd would be the best........

You will do fine.Only if you have MBH, sprayshot is awesome, and you will need to be speed capped. You can take them down even if they have saberblock 60, but once they get to saberblock 85 its over.

Need to have at least 3 elite ranged masters to take one down at Master LS. You're shots will hit hard, but the problem is that they can heal so quickly. You won't be able to damage them enough. You need LOTS of firepower. They will also run as soon as they see more than one Bh, so you need to be very fast, everyone firing at same time. You can get lucky and catch them unbuffed or with a good bomb droid, but that rarely happens.

Best thing to use on a Master LS is fire. They can't heal fire unless they are Master Healer. Sadly carbineer doesn't have this special.

And as a BH you can't "stack" melee. Killing a good PvP jedi with a BH / melee template is NOT easy. They will run or kite you till they land a kd/dizzy, theirs is the best in the game.

Killing a jedi with a BH template is much different than "dueling" one for fun. Sure the pure melee def stackers will win most times, but that is only because the jedi is not using all his tools like FR in a friendly duel. This gets them out of trouble and gives them time to heal even if their damage is nerfed.

Bottom line, once they get to knight they only die if they are stupid or arrogant. Luckily most EBAY jedi are.

I fire is the way to go. Im goin'

Master Carbineer

BH 3400

Commando 0040

havent ground it out yet, but theory seems right for a MCarbineer Jedi Hunting Template.

Heh, commando doesn't work. Its way to slow considering 85% of your shots will be blocked, plus the other 15% can stil be missed. What he's refering to is toroshot which can be fired at speedcap or a dot weapon, but even torsoshot needs to land first (see my sig).

Get Jedi missions between 30k-145k..

Those Jedi should be quite killable with your carbine.

Might I recommend 4000 commando? Grenades are great for jedi, matter of fact on another server there was a cyroban with 10,000 max damage after a slice (unpuped). Jedi CANT block grenades. The 10,000 max grenade was created with exceptional ACKLAY venom, most LEET kids scoff at acklay venom and you can get it for very cheap (that is if they dont destroy it upon looting it from the acklay. I hit a master lightsaber (knight) with a damage sliced thermal detonator for 1200 damage, these things are severely underrated.

As a Master Commando, the flamethrower gets blocked. What kills it even more vs Jedi is that the delays between specials will kill you (esp. since you have a raned weapon equipped).

The only thing I heard from Commando that goes through is grenades. I haven't tried it myself, but you need to get a Weaponsmith to max out the range/accuracy mods for it, NOT DAMAGE! Even then, be aware that if you somehow get caught in the blast radius of your own grenades, you're more likely to f**k yourself up than the Jedi. Also, our grenades of course aren't reliably accurate compared to Combat Medics flinging poo around.

^Right. The flame dot can stick, however it is random as to whether it passed through saber block, it can...but not all the time. The nades bypass block but can miss easy enough thus you would want either extremely well made ackley nades, or go up the entire grenade line and use pup'd detonators. Another trick in the feild is /aim X3 then fire a rocket launcher at the nearest mob the jedi is leveling on, he'll get caught in the blast radius.

As for the original template, no good. Keep novice brawler, go 3440 BH so you can use torso shot, and then even if they have master saber...it is still 'possible' to bring them down if they don't have master healer due to torso's fire dot. Just keep them away from water. Burn em, state em, intimidate, posture change em, and try your damndest to outlast em.
