That equals certain death in solo Jedi PvP.....

TKM/Fencer are the Jedi Killers.....we are all waiting on a "fix" for Jedi....

As long as the jedi doesn't have master saber you should do okay. The only problem you'll run into is no defenses, I'd drop the fencer for pistols 0040 and make sure to keep novice brawler. Intimidate is what's going to insure the jedi can't do as much damage to you. Also, nothing beats having the proper chef foods such as damage reduction and KD Defense as well as the mind buffing foods.

Ok, I'll summerize what I tried to say

  • Carbineer templates own padawans

    • However, anyone can own padawans no matter what template

  • There is not a single ranged template that can own master lightsabers or higher

    • Only way I've ever solod an unbuffed one was with torsoshot (pistol move)

    • In fact, ranged templates don't even help a group attacking master lightsabers

      • Unless you land a fire dot.

sometimes going after a virgin padawan is very satisfying.

It gets old after you kill 50 padawans, then try to group up to kill some knights, but you can't even contribute because every shot is blocked (see sig). Then you saw screw jedi hunting, i'm gonna do real PvP, and then the first thing you do when you go overt is get ganked by a knight that you can't even tough.

Id pop off lots of specials before id get knocked down. Never did a scratch on the Jedi. I decided to stay with carbineer because ive hunted the same type of creature standing near a couple of jedi and I caked the targetno problem, while they were still pulling out 300 damage here and there. Not sure if they were using specials.

But either way, carb is WAY too much fun killing stuff. From Enraged Rancors to Npc stormies. Very effective. I usually keep all style carbines with me, acid, heat, energy.

Wow, I expected you to say something like "Carbineers cant hunt jedi" or something.

Take it from a BH, u can take any jedi that hasnt got Master Lightsaber, and even some who have. Just be smart and have high damage weapons - states DO seem to lower block for me, and I do quite well against targets up to 180k. Any over that I take my wookie bar bender with me :-)

Firehawk is right... sadly if you want to hunt Jedi melee stacking is the way to go right now. So it becomes two questions for you as a player. 1)What is more important to you as a player? Hunting Jedi OR keeping Carbine? 2)Are you willing to wait till the Combat Revamp to see how it's fixed.

For me.... Keeping Carbines and enjoying my PVE experience is more important than PVPing folks with there glowy sticks. But that's just me.

As far as DOT Carbines on a Jedi..... :/ Not really effective. Have you been on the recieving end of the Jedi's block? It's no fun.

But others may have a diffrent opinion.

definately waiting for combat balance...im in no hurry

from my limited jedi hunting experience...Ive been able to stick my mind poison on every jedi Ive faced...and at times it was the only damage I was able to dish out...Ive soloed padowans with my master carbineer, 4000 fencer, 0340 doctor template, I would expect the new template to be at least slightly more effective because its the sameexcept Im speed capped and accurate as hell...

if anything the high melee/ranged gives me time to think...

-I was pleasantly surprised when I reviewed my combat log to see I was hitting 500-600 damage on a jedi knight using scatterblast,,,only hit for that amount 3 or 4 times,,the rest were under 100
