NOt to mention the Confusion Shot dizzy lasts up to 60 sec Ive timed it messin around with a BH friend of mine one night....

Confusion Shot is a far superior Dizzy Shot...


...either way you go you'll be more than happy I can promise.

Hello All,


My name is wreckless...I am on the Ahazi server. I have been a Master Carbineer/ BH Carbine III/ Novice Medic for about 2 months. Besides the problems with PvP and Carbine...this is a great template. I havefound this template is great for PvE in the fullest....you get great specials.....mainly FireKnockdown....which is what I have been using as my KD often. I have questions:


What are good combos to use in PVP for the Carbineer?


What are good tactics for a Carbineer to use in PVP?


Any help in this would be helpful

What about going

Carbineer (3/4/4/4)
BH (0/4/0/0)
Novice Medic

Dont get the shiney Master Carbineer tag (but Infiltrator is better anyways), hit the speed cap, get confusion shot, AND novice medic.

Lose out on a little defense though.

Still, I kinda think that novice medic and confusion shot would be worth 20% less ranged mitigation (considering there are alot of melee fighters anyways and also considering it doesnt make a huge difference when wearing 85-90% composite + Imperial PSG)

I like all these interesting ideas everyone, I wrote this up for Nova on a question about Carbineer/BH Carbine to analyze that specific template.



Although now I'm trying TKM/Carbineer....

Btw everyone, discussions from BH Board seem to suggest BH Carbine specials being reworked, going to continue investigating this further.

Carbineer Specials vs Bounty Hunter Carbine Specials

In this evaluation, overall in the BH Carbine Line there are good specials, in the Carbineer tree there are good specials, both are good by themselves, but its when combined together they meet their true quality.


Full Auto Single 2 is possibly our best shot, gained at Novice Carbineer as well. It seems to do most stable damage great speed -- Carbineer specials for the most part are working. But Wild Shot is kinda not-needed, and there can be made an argument that Burst Shot 2 is FAA 2 and vice versa (just minus the state effects.)


Bounty Hunter Carbine specials are more about status effects, KD effects than damage -- when combined together you get that wonderful macro of


Knockdown Shot
Dizzy Shot

Cripple Shot

Cripple Shot

Cripple Shot


(Speed cap is reached in Carbineer/BH Carbines combination)


When analyzed separately, you wouldn't say that Carbineer specials are honestly great, and you wouldn't say BH Carbine specials are great -- but when used together, with speed cap, accuracy using both professions...they're truly a force to be reckoned with.


I won't repeat what Nova has stated about our specials, for the most part they are all working...BH KD/Dizzy attacks seem to work much better than Carbineer shots, but that's because the BH line is designed spefically do to that. Carbineer's are designed more towards damage.


The template gives you many many shots to choose from, all effective...it will depend on your taste, attitude, and how you adjust to the changing world of PvP.


PvE...this template has so much fireport, creatures tend to fall before you.

I've always seemed to have better luck with /Fireknockdown (or is it /knockdownfire) for some reason -- maybe because it has always worked since Day 1, whereas the code for Charge Shot has been tweaked several times.


FireKD also seems to dizzy...so it KD/Dizzy's and then with Confusion Shot after it (which almost always dizzy's) you've got a sure fire KD/Dizzy pattern.



With FAS/FAA...you get a "maybe status" effect...BH Shots seem to always inflict what they're designed to do.

Ahk, also I've been told not to use chargeshot2 in PvP because sometimes the cone will KD other people who are not dizzy and give them a 30 second immunity to other TKAs in your group.

Yeah, that KD immunity stuff is crap.
