Have you tried to clear the combat queue when that happens?

I've tried switching from Carbine to pistol.
When I click to switch to my pistol there is a ridiculously long delay. During that time I am not able to cue up any Carbine specials and am basically frozen. I'd say its at least a 5 second delay, not accounting for lag also. I also experience a small delay once my pistol is equipped to when I try to fire off my first special.
Weapon switch time is such a horrible idea. I'm convinced this dev team doesn't know what they're doing.

Conversely, I'm convinced that the player-base will say this *regardless* of the choices the Devs make.....
So let's keep on track, eh?

this is what i've noticed, haven't done offical testing on it:
when hunting NS's last night i was constintly switching weapons. the switch between weapons is what the delay should be, however after my new weapon is equipped there is a 2-3 second delay in addition to the 2-3 switch delay. i have done this with carbine to new carbine and LLC to carbine. there is always an extra 2-3 second delay after the switch delay. very annoying when trying to sit there and fire cripple at the cap and then you just stop for 5 seconds.

Here's something to try...when you switch, hit /peace immediately afterwards, then proceed to continue attacking. It's about a 50% success rate of a less than one second delay in switching. Not sure if it's a bug or not, but it works sometimes, not all the time. I just wish they'd remove it all together and tell the whiners to go home.

weapon switch is now put into the queue... so if you have moves queued up it might explain a delay before. but for me, it's always been after. i switch, and can't attack for a couple seconds.
