I was just wondering I guess if there is any info on whether or not the insanely high HAM costs will be lowered or not.

If not I guess it is time to start looking for pistol anhancing tapes.

Thanks for any info=)

All professions will be balanced and a lot more equal in battle but yet distinct.....the Devs are clear that solo play will be limited to lower content as we get back to the MULTI-PLAYER part of this MMORPG.

This doesn't mean our HAM costs will be lowered, but the Devs are clear that no matter what nobody will be spamming specials constantly.....so don't think you can switch to another prof and spam away.

The exact details will be worked out on the Sandbox and revealed when the CU hits TC.....which is when the NDA will be lifted.

You bring up another question firehawk. If we will have to group again to get high end missions who will be able to loot? , just the ninja looters which most players are or will each person in the group get the same or different loots.

One of the main reasons I started doing solo stuff was because I never got any highend loot because others took it first and most never shared? I hope the devs have a fix for this as well.

Good point and I don't know, but you should comment on this fact in the Loot Revamp that TH has brought up.....

Now is the time to get fixes into the system

That is a problem you'll always have when grouping with strangers. Ninja looters tend to get reputations really fast and people are quick to find out who not to group with. We dealth with it when I was playing Everquest. There really wasn't much ninja looting around and we policed ourselves fairly well. People tend to figure out that getting "ninja'ed" suxxors and stop doing it in fear of reciprocity. I dont expect this to be a problem.

Set down loot rules if necessary before you do a mission with people whether friends or strangers. Keep a crafted multisided dice around and have people choose numbers then roll on who gets what. There are a dozen different ways to get past this.

well if they dont revamp the master carbineer box by adding a special or something worthwhile there they better give up extra special points to add to our bar, more than other master boxes if it's gonna be set up similar to jedi

I'm actually looking forward to the revamp, being a doctor myself the changes in buffs may cramp my style but I think carbineer will be THE best combat profession after the revamp- as one of my alts will be a rifleman/carbineer/pistoleer and hope it'll be more Star Warsy finally.

And of course the Jedi class will be more powerful once again, they feel underpowered right at this moment since the profession is already adjusted for the revamp.

I only hope the devs andthe sandbox testers will do such a good job that there won't be a profession which will becalled "the best".

I am not worried about it, they really cant mess up carbine anymore. Only room to get better.

That's one way to look at it I guess.. but what if everyone "gets better" too?

Buffs, not so concerned with..."cause i'm a wookie and my ham is just so much better then anybody elses's"

/endsarcasticmockeryofstupidpeople

what i'm a lot more pleased to hear is that they are changing/modifying armor... yay no more composite clones running around. Considering as carbineers we are limited to: Acid, Engery, and Heat composite armor sux. SOE could be stupid and leave armor alone and just give every profession a stun weapon, or they could (and hopefully are) go to the source of the problem.... the armor. Sure comp armor will still have strong stats, in some areas, weak in others and none in a few cause its the top dog armor.... Ithink the covers all dmg type armor it is now will cease to exist and will have more weakness's that no matter how good it is crafted, can't be patched. Thus you might get a suit of padded, covers almost all, but not as strong to them. Thats why i'll be loving carbine, cause if just one of our damage types opens up as a weaker point of attack, its go time for us.

It's also go time for them. Imagine if Composite dropped significantly in Energy resists.. sure, our Laser would be great.. but a T21 will eat us alive.

Make Acid more vulnerable, a Tenloss will win.

Make Heat more vulnerable, Riflemen/Pistoleers win again.

Make any other stat vulnerable.. does nothing for us.. does loads of good for them. We too are affected by armor, more so than any other profession.

Nerfing armor is not enough - it's crucial that speed formulas be factored in as well, so that T21s can't be speedcapped and so the average DPS for ALL professions are balanced. Certain professions should of course dish out more damage but have low defenses.. etc.

Actually, thats already true. Unfortunately when they allowed the various defenses to stack it warped the entire idea around into something very much unbalanced. I think its safe to say that every profession is going to have to relearn how to PvP and PvE all over again. They've already come out and said defense stacking is going to be removed.

And as far as required grouping is concerning...well take a look at TC. No more 15+ solo groups anymore.

Exactly - a swordsman can for example easily stack with Fencer and Pistoleer and thus have the best of both worlds, whilst a Carbineer with the same defense-stacking would suck as far as damage is concerned.

Defense-stacking is fine by me.. it just needs to be revamped in that it takes more SP (so that you essentially become a pure defense stacker without much damage-dealing) or be restricted to near-master level tiers or professions. Or sorta only kick in when you are in that defensive-profession, kinda like CoB.

I don't know if "a T21 will eat us alive" because the revamp will make rifleman the slowest firing profession, not to mention forcing you to be at a certain range and probably proned to actually land a hit, carbineer I still think will have the advantage in between everything. Time to bring back out those Tantel armor.

No more false rumors plz. Too many people think these types of posts are fact. Unless that is you are in the secret sandbox, broke the NDA, and are looking to get banned?
