You obviously don't pay attention to my past posts.....I have told people to drop down from Master Carbineer to lower levels and even to go away from Carbineer all together....

You don't know a thing about me or what I post here....so don't expect any respect from me when you treat me and everybody else here this way.....you my friend need to visit with a Moderator.

the person asking the question already is a mws!!!!!!!!! how many skill points do you think he has to waste?

He has 66 points left.....not enough for any BH but 66 points can do a lot.....

You really need to read these forums instead of bouncing in here and making assumptions on "the regulars".

Real shame you can't be mature like dsurfman was about his postings here.....oh well, I won't lose a wink of sleep over it.

sorry i dont have time to read 10,000 posts i only read what was on the thread which i may add i did not start if i just came on with a soe sucks or a carb sucks thread thats one thing but i was only responding to a question and the answer you provided stated nothing about that, sorry i didnt go back to some post you wrote in november on this my mistake .

I don't expect ANYBODY to go back and read my almost 5,000 posts on this one forum....but at the same time NOBODY should be making assumptions on me or anybody else with such an attitude....or find yourself talking to a Moderator.

This board will NOT under any circumstances become a place like the Jedi or BH boards......

So.... why does it exist as a proffestion...replace it with... Usless Rifleman who cant do anything.

I have played the other profs and besides Commando only enjoy Carbineer. The play style isn't for everybody, but those that like to use their MIND to win instead of button smashing will enjoy Carbineer.

And better distinction is coming in the Combat Upgrade

Glad to have civil conversations with anybody here that refrain from such generic statements as "carbs suck". There aren't many folks posting in this forum and I like to talk with each one of you out there.

If you have some questions/concerns/debates on things listed in the FAQ and its many hundreds of posts or something new, then I would be happy to hear what you have to say.....because I don't know it all, rather I depend on the Community's info to keep the FAQ up to date and Devs informed of our current situation.

Sorry about the hijack

I still stand by my statement that a Swordsman/Carbineer will be a Swordsman 75-100% of the time......but I haven't played that template, just Fencer/Carbineer of which I REFUSE to play Fencer except when I don't want to make extra trips to the Village to exchange XP

EDIT - I read MSW (not Shipwright)instead of MWS.....oh well there is some info if a Swordsman/Carbineer comes in here

I am an MWS who has Master Carbs for the love of the weapon. But as I hit master I have noticed a signifigant increase in my ability to PvE. Which of you other MWS out there are Master Carbs? Do you PvP? How do you make yourself effective. I have been playing with varying combos of special as recommended here. Some to very good effect. Took two kimogolias and two nym elite body guard by myself the otehr night! I know that doesnt add up against PvP so I wondered...
BTW this set seems to work well for me.

I had this template for a little while. Master WS/Master Carbineer/0040 Medic/novice brawler/4040 Artisan/4400 FS crafting. Having +25 carbine speed in tapes is a must. Since you're a WS I'm sure you can come up with the money for them, especially since nyax spwans much more these days. Next thing you'll need is a good gun. Start off with a Krayt Laser carbine with an imperial stock. You'll need 65 damage tissues and up and a decent slice to make the gun worthwhile in PvP, 600+ max damage w/pup is acceptable. Again, with the increase in krayt spwans tissues should be easier to find at a lower price. Then you're gonna need food: Brandy, Thakatillo, synth steak, canape, muon, neutron pixie. Get some +25 wound/injury treatment pants and a +15ish warcry/intimidate shirt. Put your CA's in the pants, shirt, and bandolieer. Mabari belts can take AA's but if you can get the +25 in all CA's, you can use a PSG - or better yet a no-decay effectiveness sliced PSG

4 pieces of armor (helmet, chest plate, boots, gloves) are enough for full protection due to a "fix" of the armorhole bug, so you can wear clothing pants together with your armor without any disadvantage as well as a shirt and a bandolieer.

Actually there isn't much difference between WS and all other craft professions... except money-wise perhaps. With +25 carbine speed SEAs and/or fs melee speed you can be very effective in pvp... even as a crafter/carbineer. In my opinion krayt weapons aren't really needed... perhaps with the krayt boom it's worthwhile now, but without them you'll be effective as well... you aren't a damage dealer anyway. When not speedcapped you'll need them of course to lower the weapon speed as well as form fitted stocks.
