Please correct me if I am wrong on any of this, this is simple how I currently understand the system to be:

10 Weapons expconverts to1 FS exp in the Village.

Rank 1 FS box = 175,000 FS exp.

Rank 2 FS box= 250,000 FS exp.

Rank 3 FS box = 350,000 FS exp.

Rank 4 FS box = 450,000 FS exp.

Rank 4 Ranged Accuracy + Rank 4 Ranged Speed = 24,500,000 weapons exp. In this case, Carbine exp.

The 8 applicable FS boxes = 6 and 2/3 * Master Carbineer.

0400 BH= +50 Carbine Speed, +50 Carbine Accuracy.

0400 BH = 1,225,000 Carbine exp = 1 tree in Carbineer.

0400 BH = FireKD + Confusion Shot

--------

Just an opinion, but that seems like a lot of work when better gains can be made elsewhere.

It is less exp, but it requires VASTLY more skill point. Not everyone wants to invest 3/4 of their character's skill points into carbines.

Yes. The SP cost is much lower and also the Accuracy and Speed FS enhancements apply accross the board. Not just Carbine or Pistol accuracy, but all Ranged weapon accuracy. Thats why everyone will go for it.

Force Sensitivity whenever it hits, is like a "mandatory voluntary to participate" social event. You HAVE to be Force Sensitive if you want to compete when Pub.10 hits. /sarcasm on "Way to go devs."

It is alot of work for small gains, but consider this:

What are you going to do with those last little bit of Skill Points? Each of those boxes in the FS trees, again according to my calculator, cost 1 Skill Point.

As for the devs considering for example Rifleman speed with FS skill enhancements, I doubt they'll see it coming. This implies foresight. Which unfortunately, we have seen alot of evidence pointing to a lack of it.

Well, won't this all be moot. When the combat revamp comes, I thought they were going to get rid of speed caps? Of course, you still have a few months til then.

I hate statements like this.

No, you don't HAVE to.

It'll just make your life easier. But you don't HAVE to.

I mean, once you've hit the speed cap, well..... You've hit the speedcap. More speed is meaningless at that point.

i'm still trying to decide if it is worth it to go MBH or just stay 0 4 0 0 BH and loose 10 accuracy and sprayshot.... i would gain a lot more SP's this way, and considering the low cost of the FS skills it might be more benificial to just pick up some of those soi can keep medic as well.

I think a lot of people have an over-inflated sense of worth regarding 12pts.

Whenever I get a /tell out of the blue "You a 12-pt WS?" I usually respond with "No, I spent my money on useful things, why?".

They usually ask me to do the custom order, and are quite pleased with my work.

the FS experimentation does not give you any extra experimentation poitn (first thought so and started to do my 2nd holo becuase of that lol). It works like the Bespin/(research center modifier, add to your experimentation roll so you might get an amazing instead of a great, great instead of moderate (way more important than gettin more amazing IMO) etc

Investing in +12 is very well worth it. First of all for marketing purposes. For making ordinary weapons it does not make a big difference. You will get a bit extra on condition, range mod or HAM cost. Also make experimentation on advanced stocks a LOT easier.

Most important and that is why the clever player (if he is not then he thinks you will get higher damage/better speed if you are a 12 pt smith) looking for a custom order asking you if you are 12 point smith is that that 2 extra point make it a lot easier to recover from a bad experimentation roll. Which is very important when you use expensive loot components.
