Ok i have a thread in the Ranger forums like this. My wife has a carbineer character whos a BE and we were working on this with her account. And what i found was that if you use acccargm+garmorrl and start to experiment with Ahrissa/Scrimpi/Gruuvan Shaal to lower your specials costs.

Also talk to your local armorsmith about a set of Mabari or low HAM chitin. Remember that AP0 creature weapon vs AP1 armor even if its lowly voritor enhanced 6% kinectic bone or 12% kin Mabari adds 50% protection to the attack. A complete suit of krayt scaled mabari weighs only 60 to my substats. My Bone armor with not rare voritor parts is around 110 for pants, boots, chest, gloves. And my Kliknik enhanced Chitin is 119 for a full set minus helm.

Its good to see that there are people who like to fight unbuffed

Yeah, a lot of players fail to realize that 90% (if not all) of the creatures in the game (Krayt Dragon included) have an AP0 attack. Any armor that isn't vulnerable to kinetic is going to take 50% off the top. You can hunt very well in chitin or faction armor without a lot of encumbrance.

As a MBH/pistoleer though, I find I can do quenker missions fast and easy without buffs or armor at all. An accaragm or 2, and I can spam fanshot on the lair with my scatter and kill everything in 2-3 shots as it spawns Riflemen can sub lots of brandy and ahrisa or canape and strafe. Full auto area works great as well with carbines. Just be careful of shooting lairs that spawn things bigger than you can kill in 2-3 shots

I went to a vendor and bought an exteremly low ham lasercarbine (with about 430 max, no powerup) that one of my friends looted. This is great because of the high ham costs of carbineer.

I know CH is all..sucky now..but do you ever use it in PvP? Just curious, or is it more of a PvE thing?

Do you think is a good strategy to keep moving?

On FarStar: MYLO EXAGONALIS ---> Mon Calamari Pikeman / Doctor.

On Chimaera: JANTO KORMAKIS ---> Human Commando / Rifleman / Squad Leader

Get low a low ham carbine (24/23/12 works good for me) with a good damage (578 pup'd).

Works good for me
