Thread: Best way to carbineer master
oh god. this is sick..with only carbineer 1/0/0/1 and BH carbine 3.
3.4 357 damage laser carbine. fire knockdown, and spam scatter shot 1,, does so much damage so fast. +80 carbine speed and +105 carbine accuracy... can't wait til scatter shot 2 and crippling shot... just mowed down an ar 1 70% resist all force npc with 14k ham on dant in 20 seconds.
With a pet, the fastest way to make xp is to find a mob type that is social, not neccesarily agressive, low resists, low HAM. Get missions for these mob types to make some cash while you are doing it. An example would be giant baz nitches on dathomir.
Send in the pet, wait 10-15 seconds to make sure pet gets all the local agro, watch yer cone area to NOT include the nest, open up with fullautoarea2 or wildshot2 (don't remember what column wildshot2 is in and I'm at work so forgive me if its in combat xp column) and kill all the 3-5 mobs agroed on yer pet in 30 seconds. Should give from 9k-15k per fight, and with a rancor and pet stims you will have minimal downtime. Can clear 200k+ carbine xp an hour via this method.
Many different types of mobs work. Experiement with your area shots tho, can be the fastest xp using this method. i don't recommend using actionshot2 because if you get a posistion change on the mobs, and the pet drifts away from them, you will gain the agro of the mobs you pinned and then you can get hosed.
I finished the last 4 boxes to master carbineer in about a days hard playing using this method. That was back in August before some of the changes that made things harder, but I was showing this technique to another carbineer last weekend and it was working fine for him.

Because the best way isn't the fastest. I COULD have ground out all the XP on Dantooine in a few days, but instead I took my time and enjoyed each new special. Test out new moves and tactics on different types of mobs and player classes.
I find that most people screaming about carbineer being a bad weapon just haven't learned the in's and out's of the class - we kick ass in soooo many ways. Learn it, love it, and leave the speed grinding to the l33t doods (asshats).
- Get two meatshields and a good buff on all action stats.
- Goto Naboo
- Run out in the wild and find Bolle Bols (rocky shelters are the best)
- Send the meatshields in on the first Bolle that is surrounded by its friends
- Use an AoE move towards the Bolle Bols
- More Bolles will spawn when the already spawned ones are getting beat up and they will aggro on the meatshields
- Rinse and repeat without shooting the lair
This should give you about 50 spawns per lair (if you dont shoot lair) and 3.5k per Bolle Bol. They generally all perish around the same time and 10 spawn at once, if your lucky).
Its not impossible as long as you know where to do it and get all the xp. I did that in one day and surrendered it that same day.

Make friends with a doc so you can be buffed all the time. I work with several carbine users and use one myself and the HAM cost on carbine hurts. With buffs though carbine truly shines and I personal dont think there isa more effective fighter in the game than master carbineer BH carbine 4 with master doc buffs. The just straight master carbineer is pretty frightning to see as well. And with us docs getting more and more common you can ussualy get a full buff to all 5 stats for 5k. I love buffing masters and watching them destroy things in this game. Without buffs though carbine just chews you up to quick in my opinion.
