Thread: Best way to carbineer master
Go to Dathomir with a **edit**e load of meds. sit back in the group help people out and burst shot. quickest way i've found.
I can only help you through the Marksman tree portion soloing. . . .been spending my time to get Master Dancer instead and just now beginning to focus again on Carbine again. Here's how I did things and in general only took a couple 4 hour days.
Novice Marksman -> Carbine 1:
1) Any cheap CDEF will do
2) Just use Overcharged to kill everything from prone "hiding" possition. This level is a breeze.
3) White or lower in the newb zones.
Carbine 1 -> Carbine 2:
1) Just keep that old CDEF a short while longer.
2) Start using Legshot1 from prone now instead.
3) Yellows andWhitesin newb zones.
4) I did the emporer's retreat Quests at this level. Gave some good XP while I obtained faction and didn't get as board just griding.
Carbine 2 -> Carbine 3:
1) Stub-Nose
2) Stub-Nose
3) Stub-Nose. . . .and a good one, don't be cheap. Spend 10-20k if you need to. You'll have this for a while.
4) Slice It
5) Get Pet Meatshield
6) LegShot2 is your tool.
7)Reds (~1kHAM is good), send in pet to get beat on, shoot it from 30m out.
Carbine 3->Carbine 4:
1) Same strategy as above. Use Pet Meatsheild.
2) FullAuto1 is Fun to play with now. 33% chance it hits the same HAM bar twice in a single shot.
3) GREAT dungeon to solo is Afarathu on Corellia outside of Cor Vella (-2492, +2906). 15,000 Easy Carbine XP when entire dungeon soloed. Slow respawn though so be ready to just make this a login/logoff ritual for 30k exp a day.
4) Yellow and Reds ONLY (1k-3k HAM)
5) I say don't bother with any new guns yet. HAM cost is just too high.
Carbine 4-> Novice Carbineer
1) Same as above. Afarathu still great XP (albeit slower since you need 120k)
2) Now use ActionShot1.
3) Suspect that you could now hit some of the advance planets for some good XP at this level as well.
Far as I've gotten. Would love to hear how you got the Holo to "talk" to you. Drop me an email if you have time. Thanks.

ok ummm thanks for the replies...i guess, but no one has begun to answer my question, and yes im serious.
Look a little at this forum before posting a question many times asked.
Ok first, Shaavik,I read the forum quite often, it is a lot mroe convienant to just ask the rifle through 300 pages of messages. If you have a problem with my question, then don't look at it, and if you weren't such a troll you would not have replied in such a non helpful manner.
Ok secondly I am not new to the game, I've been a BH before, gave it up for master swordsman, so needlesss to say I have been a master marksman, and can ge through that portion without any difficulty.
My question here is, which skills should i be getting first to accel me through the skill trees....I have read mention that scatter shot is good, and faster than crippling, although crippling does more damage. So this would lead me to believe that going up the first tree would be best...
Or is it better to go for burst and defense? or crippling and accuracy?
Just wanted to hear some thoughts.
All Shaavik and her followers need not reply.
Taking that last part into consideration I would say to go with burstshot, I use it almost exclusively due to it's large damage potential. Crippleshot sounds nice but it costs more ham wise and seems to hit random pools for me, I was depressed with it's performance once I got it after hearing so many people praise it so highly.
Try to get either an E11 or an Elite with 150-300 damage and decent hams and you should be able to deal out about 1-3k damage per shot. You may need to use Krayt to get one that good, if you do get an E11, they only take one tissue.
Thinking back on it Crippleshot drains action almost exclusively so that may be better for you in the long run, but I would still go burstshot first since you get it quicker and by the way they both seem to do about the same damage for me.
You'll definitely want to get an EE3 and a Drx6 also, too many things are resistant to energy to use only one gun. Try to stay away from the lasers, that high damage looks good but you'll find that too often you hit for 200-500 using burstshot, very discouraging to say the least.
Marauder missions on endor are great, only about 3-4 per location, heat vulnerable, the lair doesn't respawn once you attack it and they pay fairly well too, if you solo it you can probably get about 4-5k per kill, like I said they are great for carbineers.
Well that's about all I got for you right now, good luck and happy hunting ![]()
Step1: Get ScatterShot2
Step2: Get a 3-5 person group together on Dantooine
Step3: Get Piket Protector Missions
Step4: Spam ScatterShot2
Step5: Train
Step6: Repeat
step 1
Untrain all your skills except scout and marksman
Steps 2
master marksman and master scout in a day. (grind the camp while asking your friend to sit in your camp)
steps 3.
get novice carbine and novice BH,
Steps 4
get BH carbine 3.
Step 5
get scatter shot then cripple and shoot everything in sight on dantooine... the dantari give 4.6k carbine xp per kill. (Get crate and crate of breath of heaven or tattoine sunburn.
you can master carbine+bh carbine 3+novice medic(yeah stim b) with 0 skills point left over.
the speed boost from BH carbine really really helps.
