I have to agree with Thracia.

That extra accuracy will add up to a better chance of hitting def stackers and debuff them with states.

The potency of Spray Shot is unreal. You hit somebody with it and thats it...theres a very good chance you've just applied Blind, Stun and Dizzy on them as well as hit them pretty hard, all with 1 shot. FAS2 on steroids is the best description you'll hear of it. It is worth the SP cost of MBH alone in my opinion

The LLC is pretty much only any good for KD'd targets or bunker busting. LC2 blows.

The reputation of the BH pistol tree is wide. Many of us remember the FOTM pistoleer/BH pistols templates running around tearing up people with EyeShot spam. Eye Shot is not the best special in that tree, Torso Shot is. Imagine a nice pool specific shot that leaves a fire DoT and wounds aplenty to remember you by....its the gift that keeps on giving. The unfortunate thing is that the MBH pistol special, FastBlast is a crock. Imagine ScatterShot but it spreads its damage evenly across all 3 pools instead of randomising them. Hopes are high for FastBlast in the combat revamp..many of us are angling for ranged Intimidate on that one..we'll just have to see.

I myself am going for the M.Carbineer/MBH/Pistoleer 0300 route. I like the extra accuracy in that pistoleer tree. Anyways, I max out on everything Carbine related and I get to play vermin hunter.

Wouldn't you miss the Geo pistol cert?

Geo pistol is overrated as of now. Many people will have 36-38% Stun comp. Tack on a high 40% stun Imp PSG and the geo pistol is moot. No AP is killer on it.

Well almost everyone has a 35-40% stun helm true, but how many people have stun in thier chest? Stoppingshot at speedcap with a 400 max stun weapon against a weak chestpiece isn't something to scoff at.

Really if you compare a non-krayt DXR6 Carbine 230-400 with crippleshot at speedcap (2300 DPS), it outdamages a very high end krayt scatter pistol 180-400 (1800 DPS stoppingshot, 1300 dps eyeshot). Considering the accuracy on carbines is alot better those numbers will increase the gap.

I never quite figured out the comments about Geo Pistols being moot:

40% stun armor, 40% PSG, AP0 results in:

100 * (1-.4) * (1-.4) * .5 = 18% original effectiveness.

This is not exceptionally worse than using a republic blaster against 80% effectiveness armor, let alone including a PSG to block energy weaponry. Even if a PSG adds another AP layer, it will be 9% effective, as compared to a 10% effective republic blaster. Am I missing something?

For that matter, why don't I see more DX2s in PvP combat, by the same reasoning I keep hearing about DXR-6 carbines? They are even AP1... Or am I just not fighting in the right PvP circles?

You keep talking about this "I can't touch you, you can't touch me" issue. So what happens in all these battles you participate in? You two beat on each other for 5 minutes, then call a truce and walk off? Call in reinforcements, and the first person who's allies shows up wins? Hmm...

Yea I'm fond of my 28% stun 90% base chest, but really not many people bother with it. Too many melee stackers on Chilastra but I've heard of other servers that only wear helms because of all the riflemen.

I walk away yes....or wait for a CM to show up

This Stun Baton joker was especially funny. I kited him about 200m or so and realized neither of our HAM bars were gonna move so I stopped. I told him there is no reason to decay our armor....but he kept coming. So I walked down to the water outside Coronet and said hey man stop decaying armor this is stupid. The NOOB then spouts off how he was about to kill me. I literally burst out into laughter and walked back to the beach. And I let him beat on me for at least 1 min along with the Fire and Poison he stuck on me.....I dropped maybe 200 Health out of 3,000 in 1 minute....and that is without using a Stim B. I proceeded to say, see I told you so....and went back into the water.

It is hard to call two Overts fighting griefing, but he jumped on his bike and followed me around in the water until I said this is stupid, BYE and logged. My other choice was to remove my armor and clone, but didn't want to give him the satisfaction.

We all know Carbineer by itself can not kill the uber PvP setups and I have proven that stacking some Defenses on top of Carbineer will keep me alive indefinetly as well....

Sh1t, I forgot the WORST part....my Doc alt was in the Coronet Starport....so I ask all the Rebs for help with a griefing Imp overt outside town. And you know what? The only response I got was from a covert Imp spitting on me. There were TWO OVERT REBELS that did NOTHING.....damn Rebels....

Master Carbineer - 4440 Fencer - 0044 Pistoleer - Novice Medic - 1000 Scout

As I talked about in the Melee Template post when it was STICKY, my goal is to find addtions to CARBINEER only, not carry a Stun Baton around. In fact I have ZERO Fencer and ZERO Pistoleer weapons on my toon.
