while a weapon pre-req makes sense for the "new ranger role" and doesnt make sense with the "hunter" role, you can be just as good of a hunter with master scout + rifles as we are now.

the new rangers are gonna be more "special operations" rather than hunters.

im optimistic and excited, but cautiously so. I like being a hunter, and i think that in the future a master weapon + master scout + master ranger will be far more effective than we are now.

Personally I think Carbs fit a lot better with the ranger revamp than rifles.

We're going to become an urban warfare specialist, carbs fit that perfectly IMO

When did that happen? You mean they might actually be listening to us? I am not sure...maybe a month ago.

Are we still slated to be changed from an Elite to Hybrid profession? We won't know until they decide on the prereqs .

Lets hope they maintain our Elite Profession status, with say, Exploration 4 and Trapping 4. Why do we have to be a Hybrid to gain accuracy/speed or ranged/melee defense mods anyway?

If Ranger were to remain an Elite profession which of the following professions when coupled with Master Ranger would come out with the most points left over?

Master Ranger\ Master Rifles or Pistols or Carbines

Master Ranger\ Master TKM, Fencer, Swords, or Pikes

I just spent the last 25 months playing a carbineer, I can't afford to switch to rifles.

Anyway, how long has that picture been about, I remember it from years ago and if you look closely you can see the Ranger is carrying one of those droid armky carbines? I take it that picture is post TPM, cause I thought it was older?

It isnt a E5 carbine he is carrying it is an AR-1 rifle, you can read about that rifle in the book the picture is taken from, it is the antarian rangers standard weapon and can be fitted with a glow rod or vibro bayonett. It is a small rifle just as E11 rifle used by stormtroops, perfect for the paramilitary group rangers is. I can see them introduce it as both a rifle and carbien as they did with E11.
