I was looking at the Rifleman Forum and started drolling over myself. Take a look at this thread about their weapons. Too bad we didnt have anything with the DPS as high as theirs.

DPS is relevant up to a certain point... a very low point.

Pay attention to the combination of Damage (NOT DPS), Accuracy, Speed, and SAC. You put together your weapon stats with your character's abilities.

Also, specials have their own inherent delays which puts in a silent "Speed Cap." DPS is worthless due to this.

As for Rifles, some of them do great damage. Long range, good damage, but VERY high SAC costs. Also, their best specials, i.e. the Sniper Shots, have very big delays. But when it hits... OW!

Yeah with my template, speed means nothing. With +25 carbine speed seas and adrenal boost, im basically speed capped. So the only things i ever look for on weapons are sac and damage. And luckily for me i got my hands on a 1200 max gun with 73 SAC

/sigh, i must have been the only carbineer with a 1200 carbine pre-CU.

Personally I think Carbs fit a lot better with the ranger revamp than rifles.

We're going to become an urban warfare specialist, carbs fit that perfectly IMO

Newsflash -

Rangers won't be hunters after the revamp. Scouts will, rangers won't.

The prereqs for the revamped Ranger (as JB said, Ranger will no longer be a hunter) have NOT been set in stone. The idea of Carbones 4 was proposed by the devs, then subsequwntly changed to 'undecided.'

Tempted to make a joke about that, several come to mind.

Anyway, how long has that picture been about, I remember it from years ago and if you look closely you can see the Ranger is carrying one of those droid armky carbines? I take it that picture is post TPM, cause I thought it was older?
