As you may or may not know, the devs are dropping 3 lines from scout for the BH reqs.
You're kidding, right?
Oh my, heh. That's definitely good news. It does mean most Carbineers will be clones of each other in terms of specials.. but hey.. I'm not going to deny myself the privilege of accuracy and speed bonuses, however theywill becalculated.
Mmm.. nice.
Kinda makes me feel I didn't spent so much on speed SEAs, though.

Right now, I have a character that's Novice Carbineer and 3/4 of Scout complete. I was planning on getting the M.Carbineer/Bh 3400 build. Even at novice, I'm having waaaay more fun than in my past experiences with rifles. Anyways, with the upcoming changes to the BH prereqs, I am quite split between:
1- MCarbineer/MBH/N.Medic.--- I do 75% of my time in PvE, and having a bit of good Stim-B's along helps in tight situations.
but...
2- MCarbineer/MBH/Pistoleer 0400 looks good too for pure offense. I'm leaning away from using Pistoleer 0030. Yes, you get Fanshot (which I suspect will get "fixed" in the Rebalance) but our soon to be absolutely insane carbine skills from M.Carbineer & M.Bounty Hunter already come with good mods & specials in the area attack roles. To still make the most of maxed out Carbines but having a good pistol for versatility, I think maxing out pistol accuracy in the Pistol Marksmanship Tree will be much more efficient, esp. come with the Rebalance. MBH provides the inherent pistol speed and accuracy. Getting more accuracy to make the most of each of your specials, especially on the move, is much more efficient, IMO. Carbines will still do the main work.

This will be very interesting.
I think I'll go MBH and Master Carbineer and medic. I love carbs and I dont' PvP much either.

I'm thinking Master Carbs, BH 3400, Rifles 0404, Pistol 0030 looks pretty good. Carb supremecy, jedi hunting abilities and defenses from rilfes and pistols!
It seems u can also now hunt jedi as a master melee elite prof.... BH 3000 and Master Fencer hahaha

I was going to start a similar thread this morning.
But let's get away from the character builders and get to the MEAT!
What does MBH give? Sprayshot. How REALLY good is that? I also like the ideal of having the LLC for high end PvE.
What does 4003 TKA give? Meditation Cure poisons/diseases/bleeding and wounds. Powerboost. Increased range and melee defense.

As a BH, i've definitely been messing around thinking about new templates....but really, most BH don't want the extra SP. We would rather just have all the bugs fixed, and get beefed up a tiny bit.
I really hope they don't give the extra points, but if they do, i'm most likely gonna pick up the last few boxes of carbineer

Sprayshot is fantastic. It applies dizzy/blind/stun at an extremely reliable rate. Hell I used to dizzy Fencers left and right with this special (kd was another issue). Its not quite as consistent as confusionshot, but has a much higher damage output (6.5 I think) and also a stun effect. Its basically a fullautosingle2 that actually can apply a state in the first few shots and deals more damage.
That's basically all you get in the master box, unfortunately. Fast Blast is still borked and LLC area 2 is nice but not worth the extra SP.

Personally I think the master box is worth sprayshot. Especially when fighting riflemen, I kinda miss being able to apply that consistant blind.
Getting that 0030 inpistoleerreally opens up some options. Pistoleer does have some damage types that we don't have. You can use torsoshot or stoppingshot with a striker pistol to dent some nightsisters. Its also tempting to use eyeshot with a geo pistol, but with PSGs and armor these days its really any more effective than carbines. If someone's not using a PSG it probably means they're also not very experienced in PvP so it also means they're armor is probably weaker so carbines is the way to go. But it is an option against doctors that keep on healing any carbine damage you manage to do. Its a pity about the 5 second timer though. (When I used to be MBH) I'd use sprayshot to stick all 3 states + underhand shot (for KD), then switch to my 500 max geo pistol and fire torsoshot once to set a fire dot and see if it cut through like butter(sometimes chest pieces are weak to stun), if not then fire eyeshot till the states wore off then switch back to carbines and yea.

You can do that AND pickup 0040 Pistoleer ![]()

Based on some quick research I think I will move to Master Carbineer/Master Bounty Hunter. From what I am hearing, sprayshot is worth it. And this gives access to the LLC for when electricity damage is needed.
It is too bad that new weapon delay popped up because I like the idea of openning with a scatterpistol using torsoshot, then healthshot2 then switching to an enhanced E11, sprayshot twice then switch to the DXR6 for the big damage. That still might be worth it on big targets. Does anyone know for sure if you can stack an E11 bleed with healthshot2?

you think this is gonna be a permanent fix? If not, those that are planning on mastering BH might want to consider how long it will take to do the investigation. After all 4 lines of investigation are done, the combat revamp might be right around the cornerleavingnot much time to play with your newly acquired MBH.
Also, I think I read that XP granted for killign PC jedi's was reduced

Yes, you can stack healthshot1 and the bleed from Modified republic blaster on it too. Sticking loads of dots is the way to kill jedi.
