Conceal shot is great but like the other guy said you need alot of patience to use it. I been a master CH for quite some time now, before even becoming a rifleman i was a BH using a LLC with that combination i was able to solo pretty much anything. But with conceal shot i was amazed, i went into that Nightsister cave on dathomir the one that barely anyones dare to ventured in alone and wiped out everything in it with conceal shot. It was long and tedious but it works......just give it a shot maybe you will like rifleman.

Soloing creature-type NPC is pretty easy, just get

1) 90% kinetic sliced ubese/composite so that u can absorb the damage
2) Repeated warning shot to chase the creature away -- it also has an bugged effect of slowing them down till turtle speed.
3) Bleed and wait.
4) Select a weapon that the creature has vulnerabie to, eg, low level kimogilla is vulnerable to stun damage.

Soloing high level humanoid NPC is a little tougher though

Apparently using Feign Death makes soloing higher level mobs quite easy..... I'm yet to try it.

To hardwired and weaponmaster: I take it you have these SEAs (Skill Enhancement Attachment?) on your armour? I've got some Bio clothing but only found out about clothing attachments this weekend - sigh, I only just found out you check yourtargets HAM outby passing your mouse over their HAM bars.

Are SEAs made, or do you get them as loots?

I've looted all my SEA's for clothing. In caves mostly. I've actually looted one off of a thug once.

I've found conceal shot to be the most effective method.

I solo'd a Force Hunter (can't remember what exactly he was called) on Dant as part of the Jedi missions. He had 25k HAM. Did it with the "bleed and run" tactic. It wasn't pretty but I did it. Got a bleed of aboutl1500 total with HS1 and HS2. Used mainly Fanshot to kill him. Funny thing was, it only gave me about 4600xp, when I can get that by killing something with 10k HAM. Wierd.

as a side note, I think xp is capped around 5k max, depending on where you are on your skill trees.

think I got 5040 on a lair once and that was the highest xp I've gotten in the game so far.

I think Dune Kimos and regular Kimos aggro eachother so this is what I do:

Wait till their attacking each other, switch to my Jawa rifle, and spam Advanced Strafe until their both dead.

CM's are like nukes. You have them just incase you need them, but as soon as you start using yours the other guys start using theirs and everything goes to hell-PyschoticChipmunk -The First line of the Riflenomican.

The really good ones are looted from npc's.....I've yet to get one from a creature. the lower end ones can be found in any containers in caves or debris piles in caves and at the lost city on talus, usually +1 to + 3. So far aakuan's drop the +4and betterattachments that I've gotten more frequently than any other npc I've killed. I know nightsisters and smc's drop uber attachments...but for how many you have to kill to get one and their difficulty and time it takes is far from profitable and is time consuming not to mention defying death every time risking decay of your armor. In the time that it takes me to loot one of them, I can clear the aakuan cave and get 3 +5 attachments. one thing though....I'm a master pistoleer and a novice fencer.....when I use pistols I don't get many drops, when I use fencer skills I get a lot of drops......this is funny though, because when I was a novice pistoleer I use to get lots of drops....it's just seems to me that you get a better chance of uber loot dropping if your enemy is of a higher level than your character i.e. cons red to you.

As for where I put them.

the 11 aritcles of clothing I have are:

Composite helmet - 4 sockets

composite chest - 4 sockets

composit L bicep - 4 sockets

compositeR bicep - 3 sockets

compoiste L bracer - 3 sockets

composite R bracer - 3 sockets

composit boots - 4 sockets

composiet gloves - 4 sockets

BE combat pants - 4 sockets with 4 mods (+16 injury treatment, +16 wound treatment, +4 ranged def, +16 defense vs. stun)

BE shirt - 4 sockets with (+4 melee def, +16 defense vs stun, might be more on it...can't remember off hand though)

last peice is either my aakuan belt +10 disease resist or my other belt with 2 sockets that I switch out depending on the mob I'm going against. IF its creatures that disease, I use the aakuan belt, if it's npc's I use my other belt with various defense mods.

I gathered clothing attachments and put them in the clothes, I gathered armor attachments and put them in the armor).

I've only used 2 +1 SEA's, everything else is +5 or better. I just put a +9 injury treatment speed on my shirt or maybe it was the pants.....hehe can't remember but it's one of them. I also have 2 more suits of composite and 2 more sets of pants and shirts with other mods on them that I switch depending on what I'm fighting or need mods for. I have a set of clothes and belt with artisan experimentation SEA's attached to them for when I want to craft (if I ever go back to crafting).

Now if you get the right attachments and place them in your clothes and armor right, you can get lots of bonuses to your stats even with the +25 cap.

Should also note that I don't wear composite pants because you can't wear pants and composite pants at the same time.....you can wear a shirt under a composite chest plate though. I have 2 aakuan rings with +5 ranged def also.

Add up all the above, good stat migration, doc buffs, music buffs, dancer buffs, muon gold, breath of hevean and ryshake.....and you'll have what you need to solo even without pets.

No armor. No buffs. Stim Bs. Master Ranger/Master Pistoleer.

Maskscent - healthshot 1/hs2...peace. Move to 90 m.

Once the mob aggros - phen dart to slow it, glow wire to drop its resists, shoot the snot out of it as I run up a hill. Body shot 2, stopping shot and pistol whip 1 if it gets too close.

Between the traps, the bleeds andthe specials, it dies. I usually only heal to keep the action bar up.

Well I have ranger and thus scout, so I use my traps as well as pistal specials. I can't attack real high stuff solo, but here is how I take down whites and yellows.

Rollto kneeling shot; suppresionfire(from Rangerd Support4)

while they are kneeling I throw the Phecnacine dart trap(snare) and the Glow wire trap. The P. Dart slows them down and helps me kite them.

Then I hit them with my bleeds, and then keep hitting with my best special, and watching for the red -snare- above their heads. That means the Phecnacine dart trap wore off, and I need to thow another one. If the battle is taking a long time, after 30 seconds you can shoot the suppresion fire again. Just kite them.

And get at least novice medic, and buy some good stim B's and hot key them. Saves my butt all the time.
