Thread: how do you solo high lv mobs
Ok i know this a little bit odd or maby asking a bit too much but i am and have been a master ch for a while now, and that in combination with pistoleer(almost master but i have never really used the profession to its fullest) i can solo most high lv mobs like giant dune kimos ect. As a ch all i do is put tanks on the mob to keep them from attacking me(the tougher the mob the more creatures i have to rotate in).
Well i am thinking about making another character but i want to do something different. So my question i guess is, is it fesiable for playable character with nothing but masterpistoleer to solo kimos or other high lv mobs.

no
lol, good answer. a variety of different skills (many threads here already posted so won't go into it) MIGHT allow you to do it. but no, probably not possible.
Go prone
action shot 1 (bleed will draw only one attacker instead of a pack which you generally don't want)
peace
backup to 80m
first bleed hits and MOB charges you
chargeshot 1, burstshot, chargeshot 1, burstshot... until MOB is done living.
depending on how high level you are going for; you may need a combination of buffs and or food
I generally did not operate with Doctor buffs but I always used Breath of Heaven and had Booster Blue on hotkey for when things were getting scketchy(I can't count the number of times Booster Blue saved me by allowing a few extra shots or giving me time to retreat and regroup)
You will need lots of patience.
There are two ways you can do it.
The first is to use ConcealShot. This will take a long time especially on the high HAM targets. If you miss you'll want to Peace. Wait a couple seconds and then open up again. If you miss two or more times the MOB will detect you.
The second way you'll need a vehicle or mount. Go prone and stack bleeds on the target. Immediately Peace and get on your vehicle. Then pull back and let the bleeds tick off. Once the bleeds expire you'll need to re-apply them and repeat until the target is down to one hit point in Mind. Then shoot it. Any hit should do enough damage to kill it.
pick up medic, get an expenisve suit of composite, buy lots of dodge SEA's until i have +25... do the same for pistol speed... then go get full buffs and then u stand a chance. as long as u have good armor and good buffs and some mind food u can really kill anything in this game with enough time.

Agreed. Armor, Medic and buffs are essential.Lots of skill attachments too. I do have master marksman to go with my master pistoleer skills and that's about all I use when I solo. The only time I group at all is on dantooine and 9 times out of 10 that's pikets, voritors, hurtons and bols for easy money and creature harvesting. I dropped ch because holo said master fencer. I don't use fencer on high level mobs though as I'm only novice and will get my butt handed to me....so I mainly use nothing but pistoleer skills to solo now and the only marksman skills I actually use on a regular basis is suppression fire and healthshot 1......
Also, I have some very good SEA's including pistol speed, def vs *all types*, couple of extra dodge, Camo, mask scent, injury and wound treatment...etc. Basically I have 11 articles of clothing with 4 slots and they are all filled with some kind of attachment.....on top of that my pants, shirt, rings, neckalace and belt all have BE enchanments on them before I added skill tapes and the necklace and rings was looted.
Basically I have focused on defensive mods and any kind of speed enchancing mods....theres nothing like using stim b's with 40 charges and 440 effectiveness at a speed of over +50 and treatment about +60 withoutusing skill points to get more medic skills. I get healsthat average 850 but can easily get over 900 in one stim use. Since I pop Rsyschake (x3) and breath of heaven (1) with a muon gold......I can basically almost get hundreds of heals without depleting my mind pool because the stats are so high that they regenerate faster than I can use them......only problem is if an enemy hits my mind pool for major damage but that is like 1 in 20 chance seems like, but with proper movement, spacing and timing you can limit that even more.
With all of this I can easily solo some of the highest mobs out there. I haven't done nightsisters or Krayts at all (haven't seen any krayts and I run missions for nightsisters so I consider them aligned and don't attack them although they did attack me once and slayed me....hey I wasn't prepared...they just appeared hehe).....but one time I did try a SMC I forgot to buff my mind pools and she choked my little 700 mind pool right down to a big fat ZERO....hehe She couldn't touch my Health and Action pools by more than half though......cause I had major buffs.....over 4k each. Almost had her, just one maybe 2 more hits and she would have been six feet deep.
so yes with the right combinations, preparation and use of your environment (trees, buildings, rocks, cliffs, water..etc) you can solo more than people might think.
ADDED NOTE: I have yet to be able to solo Lord Nyax.....that **edit** strafe shot gets me slayed even with 4k total buffs......he does like over 5k damage with it on me......No current defense against that except run.....but then again, I haven't tried him since I reached master pistoleer.....last time I was pistoleer 3-4-4-3....probably won't make much of a difference though.
