the chargeshot2 'nerf' really goes over the top, do they not even know that CS2 doesn't knockdown? I could almost handle the CS1 nerf if they hadn't gone and showed me they have NO idea what's going on when they added a knockdown timer to a shot that doesn't knock down.

And how dare they nerf us w/o fixing us in the same patch! These guys (and gals I presume...?) are some kind of morons, or at least criminally incompetent. Really, this is nothing but insulting.

I feel real bad for you guys, you only had one shot worth while and now its gone. They have turned you into pistoleers with high HAM costs. I see no reason why you guys should have the HAM costs you do now, none of your specials are worth it.

You guys have nothing now, it sickens me to see this.

I totally agree, they are working backwards. As they are with Commando too. I can understand that they badly want to change these things, but they really should have waited until the revamp. And started with everything that is broken in a way that is bad for the profession. I don't play a carbineer but I feel for you guys.

Unbelievable. It'd be one thing if they fixed Chargeshot2. Gotta love how they just basically nerfed one of the most broken professions in the game. GRRRRR!

Well,I am upset by the nerf of chargshot...or fix, whatever you want to call it..It was a KD that DID need a timer, I will wholeheartedly agree, but when a class has about three specials that work as intended, and you lose the one useful tool you had, it hurts...bad....And as to that the fact that we have NO Dizzy effect attack that works, our KD is completely insanely useless. Because even if it hits, teh 30 sec timer is irrelevant because the target will not stay down except for 1 sec, literally.


So I am upset. I know people were frustrated with the receiving end of it, but to "fix" it without giving us any other special to help KEEP someone down for a short time, like TK or BH Fire KD, it just....went from being broken to useless. COMPLETELY.


I guess what I am trying to say is was it worse being broken and having it be spammed, or to demolish a whole class by "fixing" it without fixing ANY other specials to do as they were intended?


Being a Carbineer, of course I am biased, but I do try my best to see the other side of the coin....But it does hurt, and it WILL drive me from a profession I was growing to love. It has nothing to do with skill or anything. What other specials do we have that are useful at all?


As one Carbineer said, we are nothing but short range riflemen, without the Dmg..


Oh well, SOE will continue to show that they are absolutely clueless. I mean, it is insanely inept in their approach to this. This HUGE combat revamp is coming, and they put a timer on my only KD, fine, that is wonderful, but BY GOD give me a dizzy attack so when it DOES stick, it does something....

Charge shot in its previous form WAS bugged. You all knew it.... you knew that they would fix it eventually....if you chose the profession on a single shot knowing it was bugged then you shouldnt be Carbineers in the first place.


Now I feel that SOE shouldn't have made any "fixes" that take away from a class until the combat rebalance, However are you guys really that surprised?


Just a forwarning on flocking to other profs.....rifleman comes to mind....there is going to be a massive shift in combat profs next update.......so if you decide to go rifleman keep your expectations flexible.....I doubt the will retain their massive advantage after te rebalance.

You know what pisses me off? Not that they fixed the chargeshot 1 but that they still let combat medics throw their poisons and disease far past the range of my weapon. WTH and **edit**!!!

When they were coding charge shot 2, did they test it? Or do they assume the code is written in proper format so it must work as intended?


But then they don't look at the code for its area effectiveness?


OR it's knockdown?


So basically we have to wait 30 seconds to have the shotdo nothing.


Here's the REAL timer on Charge Shot 2...it's called months between uses.


Because it will be months AGAIN before I use it.

i guess you've never been a carbineer, or if you have it was with MBH. We now have 4 useful specials, one of which happens to be broken.

cripplingshot, scattershot2, burstshot1, and FAS2, which is broken. Now you tell me how i can beat a TKM unbuffed while i'm unbuffed using just those specials, even if the duel starts from 40m. answer-i can't. USELESS I AM!

I've been a carbineer since day one, dumb**edit**. I have never once just spammed chargeshot. I always use my other specials, and used to use chargeshot when i needed some breathing room, which was about 60% of the time if not more.

If you ever come here and tell us we've got nice specials and to use them, i will get you banned from the forums. i don't know how, but i will. That is how ignorant you sound.
