the total ham costof the combination u suggested is not far from committing suicide pal. BTW, I have dropped this carbineer prof within the minute I mastered it.

Obviously he didn't have the IQ to be a carbineer. Next...

Oh yes, and in a pinch, a good Energy Carbine and FullAutoArea2 mixed with some Medic and Blue Milk will make dealing with multiple rancors very easy to do, even in light armor like Padded. You Composite tanks should not have too much trouble with multiple big uglies even without pets.

Rancor Hunting isnt really tough if you hunt smart. I went hunting the other day for them, at 2-2-1-1 Carbineer, with a decent Nym, Laser, Elite, and EE3 as my main arsenal, none of which are Krayted, though all of which are reasonably above average. I think my tally was about 4 regular Rancors, 3 Enraged, 1 Bull, 2 NS Rancors (and their trainers), and 4 Gnarled Rancors, along with 2 Gnarled babies. I did have 80%kin composite, minus the gloves and bracers, which I didnt have at all, and I didnt use any pets to tank or anything. The trick is to single pull, very carefully, and hope that most of the hits dont land on hands or forearms, which a few did, but I have decent medic skills to take care of that. I used alot of action bleeds and fullautosingles, and generally did really well, though by the time I was done, my buffs had run out. (It took several minutes for some of the Rancors, not to mention resting off damage and being filled up so I couldnt take anymore Brandy). So uh... yeah, you can hunt Rancors at lower Carbineer levels, but you have to be really careful.

The way I drew single aggro was by running reasonably close to one of them, but not enough to get aggro, just to pique curiosity, he'll then walk in your directly, and I'd try to walk him about 30-40m from his lair, where I'd do a threatenshot, and a warning shot just incase the first didnt work. Often times this gets them walking slowly, and normally away from you. After that, I'd let loose with FAS2's, unless they had lower action than health, and then I used actionshot and legshot2, of course with the occasional warning/threatenshots to keep them off me, because even with 80%kin, it's tough to tank a Rancor.

Hope that helps, and uh... yeah, just go for it but make sure to insure and clone just incase stuff goes wrong.

And since I cant figure out how to edit my post, a small reply :

I used my Nym's Carbine for the majority of the Rancors, and was regularly able to hit for 500-800 damage with FAS2's. On the Gnarled Rancors, I think I used my Laser Carbine though, but I'm not sure if it was on them or one of the others.
