With BH's confusion shots, carbine is your good companion for the rancor hunt. I am just one block away from master carbineer and find none of the special techniques in the carbine trees could match up with confusion shots both in terms of ham costs and dmg.
What are you smokin'? Cuz it is some good sh!t ![]()
Nothing in the Carbineer boxes can compare with Confusion Shot's DAMAGE.....oh my......hmmmmm NOT LOL LOL LOL
Give FullAutoArea2 or BurstShot2 or CripplingShot a try......

the total ham costof the combination u suggested is not far from committing suicide pal. BTW, I have dropped this carbineer prof within the minute I mastered it.

I was thinking more like:
/FullAutoSingle2;
/FullAutoSingle2;
/FullAutoSingle2;
/ChargeShot1;
/ChargeShot1;
/ChargeShot1; (
TAfirehawk)
/ScatterShot2;
/ScatterShot2;
/ScatterShot2;
/ScatterShot2;
/ScatterShot2;
/ScatterShot2;
/DeathBlow;
/macro victorydance;
Oh yes, and in a pinch, a good Energy Carbine and FullAutoArea2 mixed with some Medic and Blue Milk will make dealing with multiple rancors very easy to do, even in light armor like Padded. You Composite tanks should not have too much trouble with multiple big uglies even without pets.

The way I drew single aggro was by running reasonably close to one of them, but not enough to get aggro, just to pique curiosity, he'll then walk in your directly, and I'd try to walk him about 30-40m from his lair, where I'd do a threatenshot, and a warning shot just incase the first didnt work. Often times this gets them walking slowly, and normally away from you. After that, I'd let loose with FAS2's, unless they had lower action than health, and then I used actionshot and legshot2, of course with the occasional warning/threatenshots to keep them off me, because even with 80%kin, it's tough to tank a Rancor.
Hope that helps, and uh... yeah, just go for it but make sure to insure and clone just incase stuff goes wrong.
I used my Nym's Carbine for the majority of the Rancors, and was regularly able to hit for 500-800 damage with FAS2's. On the Gnarled Rancors, I think I used my Laser Carbine though, but I'm not sure if it was on them or one of the others.
