Thread: Elite Carbine: Devs please read this

This issue has nothing to do with master carbineer....the issue is that the carbine certification you recieve at novice carbineer is for a weapon far inferior to a weapon that a marksman gets at like tier 2 or 3. That seems kind of odd to me...

Perhaps the devs won't read it. In fact, I doubt they will. But, hopefully, the correspondent will and he/she can take it to the devs. That seems a more likely route.

I think all "elite weapons" need looked into. There doesn't seem to be anything really unqiue coming from them and the elite carbine is probably the one on top for this. I have looked these overs and brought them up but no word on anything yet. I will continue to push for this, I think that the elite carbine needs something.. special.

I'd like to see all elite weapons (elite, t21, dx2) have some sort of feature that would allow you to change the damage type of the weapon on the fly.


Perhaps have an option for the weapon to be built or upgraded with different damage type power cores. Then have a radial option on the gun to switch to whatever damage type the gun has installed.


But for just the elite, I'd be happy if they'd just bring the AP up to 2 and increased the speed a bit.

Thanks for stopping by our little corner of the asylum.


Any help you can add to our cause will be much appreciated. We have more than a small number of solid ideas on this profession board to help the Devs make a truly enjoyable and balanced class. The elite carbine is just my personal pet peeve with the class--it and a lack of feeling special at Master Carbineer.

This very same issue carries into every class though. It seems that many of the high end weapons in the game are broken. The T 21 misses to much. The Elite Carbine is generally bested by it's little laser brother, The Vibro Lance Misses ALL THE TIME and does 1/2 the damage of the long axe, The stun baton does jack for damage (although is nice against composite armor in PVP). Lots of the higher end weapons are in need of tweaking IMO.
