Thread: Is Sprayshot worth getting MBH for?

Sprayshot from what I've read of the older Bounty Hunters pretty much say that it is one of the last saving graces of Master Bounty Hunter. Yes, from a Carbineer standpoint we only get +10 Carbine Acc. and Sprayshot at MBH.
Despite this, I'vegone to adding MBH with M.Carbineer since it gives me other weapon options. It will make me proficient with pistols and a single heavy weapon, the LLC. I use Carbines for most of the dirty work but there are times that the LLC will come into play. I have another character as a Master Commando, and I looked at the LLC in the past with envy. Moderate heavy weapon speed, fair accuracy (as far as heavies go) across the board, good Electrical damage, and most of all, AP1. The LLC doesn't have a DOT, but the Flamethrower and Hvy Acid Rifle have AP0.
Plus, M.Carbineer/MBH is hardly a FOTM template, which is a big plus for my self respect.

Was master carbineer/master bh. Spray shot was great for certain situations. Against mobs not immune to its status effects, i Found it stacked status faster and better than any other shot. Used crippling shot after it for damage.
I rarely pvp, and mostly pve, sadly most high-end mobs i hunted with friends where immune to stun/dizzy/blind, so i rarely used sprayshot.

I'm not quite MBH yet, but I've fought a few docs as a 3444 BH. I got one dizzy/KD'd but instead of spamming crippleshot I accidently spammed confusionshot. But I noticed the doc was curing the dizzy but as soon as he did, another dizzy from my confusionshot stuck thus keeping him on the ground. Now I wasn't doing too much damage with confusionshot, but since sprayshot is almost as powerful as cripple, I think it would make a great doc killer.

I've been MBH and switched between carbineer 0304 and 0403 since Feb/March and then switched to MCarbineer after skill reduction (though I have dropped MCarb since then). I have a lot of experience with carbines and Sprayshot. I have never done any actual testing and recording what I found, but from my experience playing the game I would say Sprayshot apply states a lot more often than any other carbine special, and the best thing is that the states last *MUCH* longer than Confusionshot and FAA2 or FAS2. This is really good in PvP. I usually use Sprayshot to apply states and then use cripple for damage. And if I need to switch weapon I know the states will last a while before I have to reapply them.
