Jedi realy should be that cool 1 carbiner no matter how cool shouldn't be able to take him out now 30 carbiners should be able to take him out if they plan it right and there should be big big penalties for being taken out as a Jedi. IMHO

Hey dipstick, in order to take him out, you have to be able to hit him in the first place.

What the hell good are 30 Carbineers firing at a Jedi when none of them ever land a shot?

Use that mushy mass between your ears for something other than padding to keep your eyes from rolling back in your head.

30 Carbineers firing at one Jedi I think this Jedi should be dead after the first 2 shots hit him but he blocks them all that is crazy.

I repeat, in order to do damage or states to a Jedi YOU MUST HIT HIM FIRST.

Next time drop a turret, jedi can't block those well.

So...let me get that scenario in my mind.

I'm in Theed with an alternate I have on follow. A pack of wild Jedi have spotted me and are running straight for me. I burst run out of the city with the Jedi hot on my trail. I leave the city limits and find a spot to place a turret. I keep my original character running while I order my alternate to place the turret. While the Jedis are focusing on me, the turret is built and it kills the Jedi.

(I'm not even sure if that is possible but if I could ever do that to them...OH WHAT FUN IT WOULD BE!!)

The only way I have been able to land shots on a Jedi is to use a /warcry /intimidate /intimidate /intimidate /intimidate macro. As soon as the warcy stalls em, hopefully a couple of the intimidates land and all of a sudden they are kickin' the afterburners out of town because they ain't blockin' a thing anymore.

Don't get me wrong as I hate having a Master Bounty Hunter/Master Carbineer/Novice Brawler.... I had rather have medic or something else more useful. It makes no sense why carbines are the status effect ranged class and have no means to intimidate, so yet AGAIN I still have to revert to a melee classes specials just to land hits effectively.

Until they get around to adding a ranged intimidate, I am gonna be stuck wearing BE clothes that add up to +25 to warcry and intimidate to force my attacks through on Fencers and Jedi. Nova yell at the devs for a carbine intimidation special please

Just like Roren said above, you really really need to get the first attacks off as it helps tremendously as well as making sure that if they are a force healer, they keep draining their force pool healing states and dmg rather than attacking. If you are buffed and on the right foods, you can keep reapplying the states forcing them to drain their force pool healing their states until they are forced to run or you get the chance to open up with the crippling shot offensive.

In summary, if you can afford to have /intimidate, keep them intimidated and stunned at all times....cuts the damage you take and their defenses. Intimidate works at the 20m or so range depending on lag, so you can normally still be kiting while applying it.

Taking out a jedi is all about strategy. I have taken out 6 of 7 jedi since the patch. You can't just spam one shot and hope to win. To beat a jedi you have to be smarter then the jedi.

You are not very smart. Any Jedi with saber block 3 or higher will block over 90% of your shots. So you can spam a whole hell of a lot of different shots, and they are not goignto hit. I've been hunting jedi for some time. You have to go after teh padawins and a little higher. Anything else and your toast unless your def stacker.

Haha whatever you say man. I think I would know since I was the one fighting. Maybe you should listen instead of being so closed minded.

If you know some magical way to get around saber block feel free to share, or were the 6-7 you killed low leveled ones which anyone can take down. Any smart jedi will block 90% of the shots, and if you do happen to land a dizzy/KD then they can heal it while on the ground.

you guys are really misinformed.

Master saber block 85%

xxx4 saber blocks 60%

And stun and/or intimidate really messes with a jedi. And no, no one prof should beable to take a jedi (besides BH but we know that won't be for awhile). I'm sorry to ruin it for you, but a prof like jedi, with the time needed to master, will never equal a single combat profession. That being said, i've known PLENTY of single combat profs on my server that have killed jedi solo and in a team of 3. They used what we call skill. Trial and error, you only get better with practice.

The Jedi standing in plain site is the worst part, the fact that some Jedi Knight can stomp me with ease and slice and dice me witha few hits I can understand, the fact he can outrun, out jump(If that even mattered) and out heal and last me, that I can deal with

The fact that said Jedi can walk around in plain site and NOT get ganged by npcs is silly!

The next time I see some Lighty standing outside Theed, There are Star Destroyers in Orbit! I'm a freken Colonel! Let me call in a bloody Orbital Strike, Lets crank up those heavy turbolasers and see Mr Jedi Deflect multi-gigaton colums of death that are as big as a city bus

Yes, please try and deflect it, I @#%!@% dare you!
