A faction farmer at our bases. I was overt, so I figured I'd give it a whirl and see what I could do.
I equiped my poison DOT laser carbine and proceeded to unleash FullAutoArea2 on him. In the 35-40 seconds it took him to drop me, I fired about 30 shots. Nothing landed. It was either a miss or Saber block (about 50/50). He's a Saber Master and TKA with 4000 Force Healing and three of us never laid a point of damage on him. Me, and a pair of my guildmates who are BH/Pistoleers never ruffled his Jedi robes.
I thought defense stackers were bad when 1 shot in 30 would land.

Yeah this is wrong. It is not fair for the Devs to make an uber profession immune to so many of weapons in the game while making as all play in the same sandbox. I am particularily disappointed that there is nothing you can do to improve your odds such as increase accuracy. Melee builds are already so unbelievably strong in the game that they did not need to give this disadvantage to us as well.
These Jedi are going to ruin the game.

/sarcasm on
What are you talking about? The devs would never create a profession that could cut swaths through hordes of player characters...

You people are insane... Jedi are suppose to be unstoppable. Have you seen them take out 10 destroyer droids in episode 1? Destoyer droids with shields and all that fun stuff. The problem is that there is so many Jedi and they have a action bleed bug. That is it. If there weren't so many Jedi to ruin the game, then it would be fine. They should make it where for a week every Jedi that dies doesn't come back. Then it would be fair. But of course, knowing how cheap Jedi are, they wouldn't play for that week.

I attacked one tonight that I saw overt in Bestine thathad roughly 5 bodies stacked up around him (didnt get a chance to see if the were PC's or NPC's, it was right next to the shuttleport).AnywayI laid into him with sprayshot, fire KD(which did drop him for a sec) then crippling shot. With my 200 accuracy a lot of hits seemed to land but the damage was very minimal and was quickly regenerated. The fight lasted about 25 seconds at best before I was dead. On a postive note I made it away from the rest of the bodies so I wasnt part of his collection. I am still learning how to effectively use this class, and have a long ways to go as I learned fighting overts tonight.

Call me crazy. But there might be something with the Nym slug thrower. That was the weapon I was using against the last Jedi I tangled with. I was getting a supprising number of hits in with it. But then it could have very well been luck. I also noticed that suppression fire 2 was also getting through that insane block a little more than I though it should. But again it might have been the luck factor.
In either case that was the last time I pvp'd. Bettween the line we have been fed about a combat balance and jedi I canceled my subscription. Still it might be worth checking out.

Jedi realy should be that cool 1 carbiner no matter how cool shouldn't be able to take him out now 30 carbiners should be able to take him out if they plan it right and there should be big big penalties for being taken out as a Jedi. IMHO

The logic behind that is flawed. When do you ever go around with 30 carbineers? I have a hard time being in a group with another Carbineer! We are that rare!
Anyways, the developers didn't do a good job of accounting for the fact that Jedi will roam in packs. Alone they can be handled by several regular players but Jedis who travel in troops take a whole army of players to take out.
Jedis have things in common. They have to level and pvp to level. They can travel together to compliment their needs. Average players don't have needs that requires them to always travel in groups. In fact, I would go insane if I had to be in a group to go anywhere. I like the freedom of doing things solo.
However, with Jedis traveling in their gank squads makes it impossible for me to go anywhere overt and solo. What makes more sense? An Imperial commander having to hide in Imperial occupated cities or A Jedi who has to be constantly running from Imperial AT-ST assisted troops.

Hey dipstick, in order to take him out, you have to be able to hit him in the first place.
What the hell good are 30 Carbineers firing at a Jedi when none of them ever land a shot?
Use that mushy mass between your ears for something other than padding to keep your eyes from rolling back in your head.
