Something can be said for post master content. I just started the CH grind and even after I get the master box...(8 hours grind tops) I still have to hunt for wild spawns with specials to make myself truely effective. My main toon is a MRM/MC/MM/pistols0434 and some medic. If I had to hunt for more advanced specials to make myself truely effective instead of combat macros I would enjoy this game alot more.

I have honestly put my main away because my MC/MCH alt is more fun! Looking for animals is a blast/frustrating. I can go 3 hours taming hundreds of babies and get nuthing. Then I get 2 and then I have to grind those animals to learn the specials. That is joy! I vote for more post master content similar too CH for us combat toons!

I definitely am very interested in seeing them come up with something for content once you have mastered a profession. I think thats one of the spots where they need development the most.

Excuse me if i dont take that seriously, 8 hours grind to master CH. Its not that im saying its wrong, i know its not! what im saying is you havent seen any content in 8 hours.

Maybe if you took 4 or 5 weeks to grind it you would see alot of content, well you would if it existed, but 8 hours sure.

I've personally been playing for over a year. I've mastered several professions, and I'm proud to say that I've ground out most of them the hard way, without bufffs (pre-cu) and whatnot. Grinding BTW, does NOT qualify as content in my opinion.

I think also that your discounting the OP too soon, as I read his statement to say he only had 8 hours work to FINISH grinding, not 8 hours novice to master total.

Having said those 2 things, that's where I'm coming from when made my original post. I'd like to see some content involving continuing work related to the mastered profession once that master box has been won.

In alot of ways yes, I agree. I'm an rpg'er though, so many times I can play the game and create my own content. The game itself seems linear though, it's only got 1 or 2 goals to it, and once you reach those, your on your own. Not that being on your own is a terrible thing, but since the cu I think the problem has been worsened becuase your on your own, but you need a group to do it. LOL!!

The game is in need of all kinds of content. There needs to be profession related content (smuggling and etc.) and even more important I think is faction related content, and more factions AS content (ie Hutt faction).

It seems very strange to me that the focus of the latest expansion should be mustafar and what appears to be heavily jedi oriented content when there is have been posts on the forum talking about all kinds of the very same content that I'm talking about. I think if they did smugglers right, and added a criminal faction with content surrounding it, especially replayable content, and then finally got the gcw up and running well, that the game would catch fire.

Instead though, they focus on tieing in epi 1-3 content for what I assume is the younger audience, and they are IMO dumbing down the game too far.

Youve hit the nail on the head...Thats one of the main problems now needing a group all the time, when you just want to go and explore.. Like in the old days, before the dark times, before the CU!

Yeah I miss some parts of the pre-cu. Mostly though I don't. But I think honestly that the problem players had with the pre-cu could be solved simply by them coming up with places and things that you can do solo that replace the old broken content that was unintended to be done single. Seems to me the worst thing about this is the amount of time they are taking to get things done. 2 years of live game play seems like a very ridiculous amount of time to leave the issues that have been left in this game.

Yeah alot of stuff should be for groups like Rancor, Krayts, Nightsisters and other elite stuff including high end npcs. Other stuff like hurtons, pikets *Arghhh*, quenkers etc should be soloable with care and some healing.

The problem with the game dates back towhen the village started. Once people started funnelling into it , SOE realised what they were onto and didnt bother with much else other than FS grinders and Jedi. From that point on everything else is abit of a non issue and will continue to be.

Funny though, those same grinders go "how do I tie my shoe" once they finish that grind. Once they get done grinding they are gonna be faced with the same issue that those of us not going jedi face now. So SoE either cashes in short term like that and kills the game, or they get their heads out of their butts and develop the game better and start thinking more long term, which isn't normal for american businesses :/

You have got to be kidding me!

Let's see:

Can Carbineers use carbines?

Can Smugglers smuggle?

I love it when people put 2 and 2 together and come up with a fridge...

Nothing is EVER Star Wars without the criminal element, without a smuggler somewhere being chased down by a bounty hunter somewhere.

Where is the CRIME is this game???? Where is the UNDERWORLD??? Where are the SMUGGLERS???

I guess you can't have true crime without a serious authority or risks/rewards, which seem to be at a rather big lack of. At least you can be a cute, cuddly, little Jedi

not so sure it is a joke. I believe all professions deserve profession specific content not just professions specific skills.

profession content

smuggler smuggling

bh BH players and npc

Jedi frs

Entertainer Dance for Jabba - make him happy he showers you with riches... make him made - well run a rancor is now after you.

Carbineer mob control in opposing faction cities

etc etc etc

The content should drop appropriate loot to the professions and be extensible so that once the one style gets boring they can lock together with other types and and lead to group missions where players have to work together

Say you have a dancer a carbineer and a jpistoleer in a group (no this is not a joke)

You would be sent on a mission to a far off outpost where the dancer would be mobbed as being a famous person (the mob does little damage individually to the dancer (say 1-5 damage each - but there are 30 of them) The carbineer would need to supress the mob (it would flash on the screen - >>suppress this mob<< once the mob is undercontrol and the dancer hits the stage a character in the back corner starts Heckling the patrons and becomes a general nusiance. You get a system message >>Lock down this person till the police arrive<< Thepistoleer roots the target and then does disarming shot . The target turns white at this time

etc...

group and skill directed content.

Yay! I guess this won't come as it would require lots of coding, but the idea is genuine!
