Thread: When is the Carbineer Revamp? over 2 years and I still can't carbineer.

Example. Bounty Hunter used to be unreliable. Complaints, numerous. I don't agree with all the changes made with Bounty Hunter nowadays (like making Bounty Hunter into a Treasure Hunter... a "Tomb Raider"), but at least BH missions are "fairly" reliable now. Bounty Hunters received alot of attention, which they needed. And now Bounty Hunters can Bounty Hunt with decent certainty... not necesarily successfully, of course!
Slicing and making spices does not make a Smuggler. But Smugglers don't smuggle. That alone demands improvement.
Then there's Commando, my beloved profession. We have been borked for more than a year... almost a year and a half. Complaints were made before the CU. The CU we saw as the equivalent to some sort of great salvation. But the CU has been in place for a while. And Commando is just as broken and closer to uselessness than before, despite our complaints and NUMEROUS bug reports / suggestions / ideas. What are we supposed to do with our beloved profession? Make believe in little tea parties with dolls and pretend that the profession is good to go?

Yeah, i remember when i used to be a Carbineer back in mid '04 and i used to frequently incap myself because of the action cost of the specials.Post-CU im finding Carbineer is alot better, i especially like the charge shot attack to knock things down.
Although the area attacks dont mean much to me as its rare that i use them either when solo or in groups as they attract too much aggro
I remember when I was a carbineer... from launch in june 03 to may 04... and from launch until publish 6, carbineer was one of the top three professions in the game for PvP and PvE. Why? Spammable KD! Then they nerfed it and fixed all our other specials (all but like 3 were broken).

Master Commando, Master Carbineer, Combat Medic
Something can be said for post master content. I just started the CH grind and even after I get the master box...(8 hours grind tops) I still have to hunt for wild spawns with specials to make myself truely effective. My main toon is a MRM/MC/MM/pistols0434 and some medic. If I had to hunt for more advanced specials to make myself truely effective instead of combat macros I would enjoy this game alot more.
I have honestly put my main away because my MC/MCH alt is more fun! Looking for animals is a blast/frustrating. I can go 3 hours taming hundreds of babies and get nuthing. Then I get 2 and then I have to grind those animals to learn the specials. That is joy! I vote for more post master content similar too CH for us combat toons!

I definitely am very interested in seeing them come up with something for content once you have mastered a profession. I think thats one of the spots where they need development the most.

Excuse me if i dont take that seriously, 8 hours grind to master CH. Its not that im saying its wrong, i know its not! what im saying is you havent seen any content in 8 hours.
Maybe if you took 4 or 5 weeks to grind it you would see alot of content, well you would if it existed, but 8 hours sure.
