Well, against a single ranged target I use:

Full Auto Single2 x3, sometimes a WildShot to top it off if I land no states, Charge Shot1, CrippleShot a couple of times, then I generally finish them off with 1 or 2 ScatterShots (be aware that Scattershot is from the BH tree and this combo is used by someone speed capped).

Against melee (both in PvE and PvP), I will generally use the following combo:

Action Shot2 (try to get them down to kneeling and land a nice bleed), 3 or 4 Full Auto Single2, maybe a WildShot, a CrippleShot or three, a couple of Scattershots. If I dont get a posture down on them or no knockdown, I will repeat the sequence if they are closing on me. Good to remember that if they have good defence against dizzy, knockdown or posture down attacks....Burst Run is your friend to gain some extra range!

Wowzers....when did ScatterShot1/2 get moved from Carbineer to BH?

I think if you look at the FAQ or any ProfCalc or even in-game, you will find ScatterShot1/2 in the Assault Tree in Carbineer, Tier1 and Tier3.

All of the Specials you have listed are from Carbineer, but the Speed Capped portion does come from BH or SEA's or FS Skills.

I need to work on my macros, but basically I use

aim

fire kd

full auto 2

burst shot

and then do a variety of legshot2 and burst shot.

I like your ideas and will try them today.

I finally figured out that about examining my prey and using that to decidewhich weapon to use. DUH!

Lol...yes you are right of course. Between just grinding out 25K of faction over the last 2 days, organising a Player Event, some PvP, the release of the CU document and planning a respec I think that my brain is well and truly done. At least your still on the ball TA!

The advantages of being one of the quieter proffession forums, it is easy to read every post hehe

Ah, I was going by that figure next to forum name on the portal bit, thought it looked a bit off, and it dropped.

What IS that figure anyway?

I have two different macros:

/fullAutoSingle2; /underHandShot; /fullAutoSingle2; /fullAutoSingle2; /fullAutoSingle2; /fireKnockdown

(this usually puts on all states and if the 1st kd didn't work I have one at the end of the queue. once target is kd'd...

/ui action clearCombatQueue; /cripplingShot; /cripplingShot; /cripplingShot...ect until dead.

this

Anybody can macro all they want, but the key to playing Carbineer is using your MIND to adjust your attacks and weapons and strategy on each and every fight. Sure I queue up a bunch of shots myself but I use the /clearQueue command on my Numpad Enter Key right next to my thumb using my trackball. This gives the flexibility to spam FAS2 or FAA2 until the States stick then switch to the next special and so on.

Honestly, those of you using a specific macro or Sequence of Specials are only using half of Carbineer, we are not like other profs that just spam a few Specials....and I can assure you that this macro spam sort of combat will not be around much longer
