Thread: Carbineer Issues Designer responses
seems like they could just fix both of us with the same type of fixes since Pike/Carbine are very similar as far as what is wrong and stuff
Well decided to use my first Holo, and jack up my character in hopes of grinding for Jedi as this seemed more worthwhile then waiting for content to enter the game or any real reason to play it anymore. Although credit to my guild mates we still manage to find some ways to have fun. And Im sure you can all tell by posting in this forum what it told me to master.....
Already 2 days into being a Novice Carbineer, I have used many a Stim Pack just to stay alive from using my broken specials, good thing I have alot of CH and some Commando skills to to stay alive with, otherwise I would've given this up long ago and created a new character in hopes of a different Holo Profession, but I will grind on as this is just another challenge and some ways make it interesting......well maybe just more frustrating.....gah, wait this just sucks.........
It took nearly a year to almostfix Tribes 2, most of the veterans from Tribes 1 and new players to Tribes 2 quit within that year, a ladder of 60 teams has deminished to 24 semi -active teams, and the ladders involving the mods are more popular, this is also based on the Euro Ladders as I am currently Stationed in Germany. Granted this is a different game, and some may argue different circumstances, but when faced with these constant delays, and such things as "we are investigating it", with no real fix in hope, players quit and moved on.
We can only wait so long, Carbineers are only one of the problems, Tribes 2 wasnt even this Broke...... 5 year life cycle.... I have already seen gamers leave this game in frustration for others, offering the things that players request in a time frame that makes sense and shows that the Devs are interested in fixing the game, rather then hiding the scratches and dents under new paint or distracting attention with Vehicles and Mounts.
Unfortunately I dont have this time as I get to go play in the Great Sandbox for a year, so as much as I love this genre and the combined Starwars theme, I can only hope that when I return maybe it will be fixed.... And then if it is fixed.... will there be players on it.....

I have been a master Carb for sometime now and half my guild are pistols(they slowly droping it), its disgusting the damg they do.
Either give us more damg then them or a better attack speed. I look at it this way full auto, burst shot are traits of.. oh yeah carbines. Pistols have a much better attack speed for their speicals than us, and do hella damg. Also I am not sure but why are we the only profession not to have a master move. How about the devs just stop looking at the god **edit** pistol for a little bit, btw they just gave them a new master move. Just stop for little bit, just stop, again stop. I know that you must be burdoned for time, but just take a **edit** glimpse at us. Thats all I ask, oh yeah I actually saw my guy do a counterattack for the first time :-) thx!

Im a carbineer, and a CH very close to master. I like pvp, PVP is great, i thought that the carbine ch combo would be deadly in pvp. That was not the case for some reason i have failed over and over again in PVP my grauls do not do enough damage and niether does my carbine. So i have decided to swith 1, to imperial... i love AT-ST rancor combo and flamethrower. I miss carbine hunting already thought. I hope the FT pays off in PVP
