i solo krayts all day long...MCM/MCarb/MMarks/Pistols 0003 with +25 speed, +25 acc, and +10 or so general ranged acc......just put a snare on em and kite the whole time

I am a MCM MCarbs Pistol 4004 and I was soloing adolecents last night but nothing seems to drop any loot.


Can you solo the larger krayts as well? If so, which drop any loot or is it all random?

random, and yes you can solo all kinds. here is what i do: run in, chargeshot, burst run food, paralyze, electrolyte drain, start running away, stoppingshot (to get away without being hit), hit it with neurotoxin and fire, then pound it with legshot/rapid fire spam till you are out of action, use ranged shot as your auto attack, watch the timer on electrolyte drain and reapply as necessary, repeat until dead

while shooting it, kite

What do you guys do about +Retreat+ ?


That has to be the most annoying skill ever. I had 3 krayts use that on me the other night and I felt like throwing a fit.

Circle. The retreat kicks in if the beast is too far from its spawn. Don't lead it away too far and you have no problem with that.

as for retreat i have another theory. Distance does not seem to be a hard line when they run. I beileve you have to maintane a minimum dps after the initial agro to keep hate. This use to be a bit of a problem for me

But sence i use the doc speed buff and have attachments now i cant remember the last time sompthing retreated from me when i dident want it to.

no, i'm pretty sure its distance.

try running around in circles with a krayt, see how often it runs, and try running in a strait line..
