I've got this big thing with templates and always having to use all 250 SP. Anyway, since the CU came out I've been Master Carbineer/Master Combat Medic/Master Marksman/0003 Pistoleer. It's served me well but I've grown tired of it and decidedd to swap my skills around big time. My new template will be Master Carbineer/Teras Kasi Master/3040 Medic once I'm done with it. I figured a Carbineer without armor would be interesting. I plan on making a macro soon to switch from a gun to a knuckler, apply improved CoB to myself, and then switch back to my gun as quickly as possible. I figure if I can keep CoB on in a fight, 3040 Medic should be enough to keep me well in addition to some stims. I haven;t really seen anyone with this template either, but I figured I'd give it a shot sincee I've heard TK innate armor works with ranged weapons also as long as you're not wearing any other armor. How's this template sound to all the die-hard carbineers out there? Unique? Too risky? Thanks for any feedback.

Very interesting. It does in fact sound quite unique. I'm curious about how well this Carbine -> Knucklers -> CoB -> Carbine macro will work. CoB is already irritating enough in that it requires you to stand still and perform no action while the CoB is warming up. Fortunately we don't have a timer on switching weapons anymore, so you don't have to worry much about that. The conventional wisdom Post-CU is that mixing a ranged prof with a melee prof is not as productive as going ranged-ranged or melee-melee, but maybe you can start to change that.

once you equip your carb, your tkm armor disappears. you are a two shot kill from a ranged prof.

Have you tested this? I just took a look over at the Teras Kasi forum, and all the TKMs are saying that the innate armor only disappears when a piece of armor is equipped, not when a different weapon is equipped.

TOTALLY not true. I played as a TKM carbineer for awhile after the CU. I still got the armor benefit with a carbine.

QFE and tested. Innate armor will remain until you equip a piece of armor.

Very nice. Is that CoB better than Duelist Stance?

=). Innate armor sticks with my carbine equipped, and yes, duelist stance only adds 250 defense where CoB adds 500 I believe. It's been a pretty slick template so far. Only downside is for my cob macro to work, I have to time my movement so I'm stopped just before it goes off so it can apply correctly. Only have to be stopped for about 1.5 seconds though so if someone's trying to run from me, crippling shot takes good care of me =D I'm loving it so far.

Wanna share the exact command for that so I can pop it into my macro? Or do you just make it send yourself a tell?

Every time I change my template I find out I didn't get a memo about a buff in a field that would have better suitted me =/
