So there is a speed cap that lets us attack only once per second or so no matter how fast our VK are. What I'm wondering is at what speed is the cut off? What speed does it do no good to get lower than as a TKM? Knowing this I can try to find some VK with high damage and a not so good speed as long as it is at or just a little below this cutoff speed. Thanks.

I’ve seen 2.0 speeds sliced and with a power-up (hinge triggers). I have one with 2.2.

The speed value is the length of the delay between shots. In other words, a 2.0 speed weapon fires faster than a 5.0 speed weapon.

Thank you. I thought it worked that way, but I wasn't sure.

It's my understanding that a weapon will only fire, at most, once per second. If this is correct, at master level of a ranged profession, you are going to be firing at once per second whether your weapon speed is 2.2 or 1.3.

The real question here is why would I pay to have a weapon (mostly pistols) sliced for a fast speed instead of damage? Is there really a benefit to that?

I can certainly understand speed mods for rifles and heavy weapons that have a speed of 5+, for example, but doesn't make sense to me when people want their FWG5's, Scatters, etc, sliced for a real low speed.

Please point out any flawed thinking, appreciate any help.
