Perhaps see what it takes to get the jedi speed buff...that would lower your cooldown timmers and give you carb/bh like speed...Lots can be done for acc as well. perhaps some def attachments as well. Should be lots of fun though : )
Not sure what the skill points would look like but if you could get master defender with duelest stance from bh the def you would have is just crazy ....
And I thought I was the only carbineer/jedi
, I think I can safely say you'll have a lot of fun with this temp. What I have right now is MCarbine/ 4000 Healer/ 0040 Defender/ 0434 LS (for armor break, aoe grinding, and LS experimentation). I've really grown into this temp, it almost makes me not want to go full jedi.
I've been dueling a lot of BHs and melees with this, only have lost to a full temp jedi (longggg fight), so I'll try and share what I've found. When fighting, I keep infusion and aura running on macro, this reduces the damage I take to nearly nothing. I rarely have to use force heal (especially against ranged profs), so my mind bar is usually not a problem. Having master defender is going to make you even better in this respect. Also, not having to use LS specials is going to cut your forceuse way down. I very rarely run out of force, but if I'm going to lose a fight, that's probably why. Again, master defender will make this less of an issue for you. When fighting melees and jedi with AB, you'll take a little bit of damage. Just remember that you have the range advantage on them, so hit KD/Snare and run if you're taking too much damage. Suppression fire can also work wonders if you need to get someone off of you in a hurry.
However, one of my main offensive strengths I have, is actually that 0400 line of LS. In a fight, most ranged people don't realize that they need to stay away from me. This allows me to sneak up, whip out a LS, hit AB, and switch back to my carbine. The damage I'm putting out after that is way higher than any other ranged prof, especially since I pack a pretty decent carbine. This allows me to drain anyones mind bar fairly quickly (I'm not sure if I've fought any AB resistant armor wearers though, that may be a little tougher).
*edit* another nice thing about this ^, is you can often get that surprise kill. If you catch somebody at halfish health, armor broken, hit KD then spam leg shot/rapid fire and see if you can get the quick incap before they get a chance to heal and recover. (also a good thing to do if you catch them with low action)
I would really reccomend picking up that LS line, but I think MDefender would be good too. You're probably just going to have some long fights in store for yourself. With that kinda defenseand healing though, you'll be very difficult for any temp to kill, especially given that you're probably not going to run out of force.

Just Carbineerwise, I have Legshot, Scattershot, and Rapid Fire ready to go. I have Pistol and Rifle skills added now, so I have a wide range. Typically though, I'll pour on some heavy fire to work them over, especially if they have to heal. Just keep up with them, and then hit them with another legshot, and peg them with Chargshot for the KD and let loose your true carbine speed. That combo reaks havoc on so many, because they're used to a KD early, and not late in the HAM status.
QFE, What I usually do is run maybe 2 DPS shots (Legshot and Crit Shot) and then maybe one Ranged Shot, that gets them down to half, before they can heal, I hit them with a Charge Shot, there KDed, at that moment I pretty much let loose all the DPS shots I have(Torso, Advn Crit, Leg Shot, Rapid Fire)with an Uber Nym's, that should Incap them if not, keep on doing that and run there mind down.

I don't think Hybrids ever really worked since the heal delay nerf and the introduction of saber armor break. That patch made it so the advantage of being a jedi no longer was the uber healing and defense, but in its sheer damage output of LS.
I'm usually pretty modest about my abilities as I've never been a great pvper, but I can tell you my hybrid temp works. I really am not trying to brag here, I'm just saying what I've seen. After many duels, with good people too, I reallydoubt I'm going to get beat by a non-jedi.--Consistantly anyways, I could always make the mistake to not heal or something...--
One of the strengths of my temp is armor break though, like Bennyboy mentioned. After switchin to LS and hitting AB, then back to carbine, there is no one that has been able to stand that damage. Most good medics can keep up the heals, but it's all they're doing, and I can just watch their mind bars drop. Also, with improved force aura and infusion running, I rarely have to use force heal, maybe once every 20sec on average. I do it as areaction to KDs now too, since some people like to hit those every 30sec.
Maybe I'm wrong, but some of the good BHs out there can reply to this. When you fight a higher level jedi, do you ever drain their mind bar? It seems to me that about the only way to beat a strong jedi is run out their force (unless you can surprise them with a quick incap). With me not using hardly any LS attacks that takes a lonnng time. In all the duels I've had my mind has stayed pretty high. One of my longest fights wasa Pike/Sword/Doc (I think) with one of those nasty Kaminoan (sp?) staffs, that took my mind and force both to like 75%.
About the fix to hybrid temps though. I've heard rumors of it, but is it actually in stone/scheduled for a publish yet? Can anyone point me to some dev notes about it, maybe on TC or something? I've been holding off going full temp for a long time since I like this temp so much, but I'll give in whenever this fix comes out.
