It's not hard: get buffed, wear Ubese with high kinetic resists and take savage quenker missions on Dantooine. Shouldn't take long with that method.

If it is anything like the Swordsman grind, i think it would easier with pikes, you get spinattack1 as a brawler, just use that on the lair and they all flock towards into the proverbial blender.

But to the point, grinding carbineer effectively requires the correctequipment.Basically you have3 crucial items.Firstly you need good buffs, get some decent BE Brandy, and full set of doc buffs. Secondlyhigh kinectic resist armour. Mostsmiths make ubese at about 70% as was mentionedearlier in this thread. Thirdly is your carbine. What i suggest is picking up afew E11's getting them all sliced and hope you end up with a decent 30% speed slice. Drop a min damage and speed powerup on it and go /fullautosingle2 those plated rats to death. Once you start to get some more speed (by the time you are 4000) try picking up a laser and getting that speed slice.

/fullautosingle2 is the best betthe entire way since it is our highestDPS specialbefore the speed cap (which you will likely not hit at master without a lot of tapes)

my advice is to find another combat class. Rilfe and TK are the nazz ...and always has been. And probably always will be. Carbineer like the other classes are just too weak. As a TK you can solo most missions with barely a scratch. As a carbineer, you will kill yourself with HAM costs from your specials before you will kill anything else. The only reason I can half way fight is I am a medic. Without that medic skill, I would be forced to fighting womprats and nunas only.....

If there were a lot, I mean a lot, lag inducing numbers, of nunas I assume they could be good xp with Full Auto Area. Unfortunately that pack of 450,000 nunas just doesn't exsist.

I would suggest you head to Dath and join an Enraged Rancor group... I suppose a buff wouldnt hurt either...

Ignore saphie, with a decent buff and brandy the HAM costs are virtualy zero.

ignore suva, carbine is a waste. Its not just my opinion, just look around the forums and talk to those who have played the game. The sad fact is that If you must be buffed to survive your own HAM costs, there is a problem. The devs have made it clear they will not address the issue.

There has always been a problem with the combat system in SWG. There will always BE a problem with the system. For the past 9 months the devs have "tweaked" the game, only to cause more problems, bugs, or imbalances. If combat is important to you, pick something like TK or Rifle. They arefar more rewarding.

I have been a carbineer since about day 5 of the game. I love the concept. I love the variety of weapons. But i am tired of kllling myself with special shots. Tired of watching TKs and riflemen take wade through high level beasties like butter while i struggle to survive.

I switched to TK last night, and boy let me tell ya I have NEVEr had so much fun in combat. I can spam special shots with little or no cost, stand toe to toe unbuffed with beasties that I had be buffed as a carbineer to face. Hell, i am not even a novice TK yet. Switch from carbiner, I promise you wont regret it! I am sorry i did not switch 8 months ago!

Don't you have anything better to do then to constantly tell people not to get carbineer on the carbineer board no less? He/She didn't ask "Which profession is the best?" or "Which profession does the most damage?" so why are you saying "just drop it and pick a different combat class" ? The question was how to grind carbineer.
