We had a small Duel night in our city last night... I'm a master Doctor / Carbineer with no skill attachements or whatever...

I used:

enhanced E11 - 2.1 - 112-214

Laser Carbine - 2.8 - 120-400

Me versus TKM/pistoleer/Smuggler....

Almost had me until I sticked Stun on him..

Me versus Riflemen/CM

1 round and he totaly got owned... He did try to poison me but since i'm a doc.... I concentrated to stick stun on him, the second stun was sticked the table turned in my own favor.

ME versus a Rifleman/TKM

He started on KDing me but I got back up and KDed him back... and exterminated his existance.

ME versus a Master Brawler - TKm - fencer

First round, he kicked my ass with Dizzy/KD/20 sec delay ...The second round, I asked him to start at least 35M from me, he never got under 35M and simply died a slow and painfull death.

ME versus a Master Fencer/Riflemen

Very interesting match, his damage on me was extreme compare to what I could do on him... Then stun state appeard on his stats... then Blind, Then Dizzy... then I won.

Now you must note, i'm far from being the best but I do fight with alot of tactic. I take my drinks, food, muon, pixies at the right time, I often do clear and peace to change weapons or avoid using a move. I always start a duel without anything and take what I need in the middle of the fight. My main goal in those duel was to test Stun effect.... and hehe... the second you stick stun on someone.. fullautosingle becomes THE brutal attack to use along with charge shot and action shot 1/2...My doctor skills helped me versus the Combat Medics but for the rest, I was trusting my carbine.

I hope this post encourage the carbineers around the galaxies. I am not here to brag...

((well i'm still proud of those victories))

I still believe we lack in speed but we are doing just fine, the people I fought were not all elite pvper, some are still unsure what to do in a pvp situation.

One the one hand

/bow

Always nice to see us showing them how its done.

For a major PvP engagement, Burstrun and run circles around them or away from the largest concentration of enemies and lay down area effect attacks and ChargeShot2s to thin out your pursuers. Unfortunately, we're not a stand and fight profession.

My recommendation would be to get a handle on as many Carbine Accuracy While Moving SEAs as you can. Go with +1s or +2s since they are fairly cheap and easy to replace when your armor dies and stack the bejebus out of them. Once you're better than +10 Accuracy on the go, you can hold your own in most small engagements. Just keep those feet working.

For the big fights, lose yourself in the crowd and lay down state effect attacks and ChargeShots. Support other fighters in these cases, since heavy pounding isn't our forte`.

Okay question being, what skill did you use to apply stun? Legshot 2, full auto single, or wildshot?

My combat style is mostly based on juggling with enhanced E11 and Laser Carbine...

here's one cool exemple of what I did on the rifleman/fencer...

We started around 20M from each other... We each had 80% resist armors except to stun...

-took 2 brandy and engaged the duel.

- I simply shot without moves to see if I was missing or not... I was missing. So I took some air cake +40 ACC and bingo I was hitting him...

- He was still using Rifle so I didn't bother to KD or action shot and simply concentrated on sticking Stun on him with AutoSingle 2... took about 3 shots and then dizzy and blind sticked.

- He decided to use a stun baton and rushed me... OUCH... so I took a steak +40% resist to the next 50 attacks I think. Now his stun baton was not as much effective.

- So he is using a melee weapon now, why bother... I made sure his dizzy and stun was still sticked and did charge shot on him..

- He got Kded and I spamed one crippleshot.. using this move is playing with fire because it's so random but I got a great health shot with it so I then went back to autosingle 2 and some burst shot 2 on side.

- He decided to get back up and rush me again.. I quickly did peace, switched to my enhanced carbine and shot a few autosingle 2 and a few action shot 2. so now he had a bleed on health and action.

---- At that point, he was half dead and I was already starting to feel better.

- Mister decides to rush me, well time to taste some action shot 2. he get's a posture change and I just start spamming cripple shot with my laser carbine. He gets back up and takes a jawa stun rifle... so I take a muon just to make sure I have enough mind because at that point i'm playing versus a clock. I started to use a tactic that involves moving when not shooting and standing when shooting. It requires some practice but it keep your aim higher and defence too.

- My charge shot is ready but I don,t use it yet, I try to keep the blind sticked on him and stun... The second I see a dizzy, I do another charge shot... he then died

I came out of this duel with more then 90% of my health and action and around 60% of my mind, the mind really took a hard beating but the muon made sure to keep it up high.

hehe like I said, those were not all top of the line pvper...

also stun armor exist and it does a wonderfull job too.

Yes I know it's odd that I won those duels and I was suprised too lol... really I didn't expected to win.

Yep, Riflemen/CM should own a carbineer but I have master doc so his poisons were not effecting me in anyway... YOu have around 5 to 10 seconds to heal before the effect ticks...

Now...

here's the thing... Riflemen concentrates on the mind and specially when he's a CM... What can he possibly do if you have.

1100 mind... + 2 brandy of 406 buffs + muon + 1 steak + air cake for better acc... with a 80% resist helmet.. His stun damage is cut by 40% so it's not that effective and his T21 is cut by 40% + 80% armor... again it's not that effective.

While the riflemen is trying to hit only your mind, your trying to stick stun, blind and the dizzy... once's he's on the ground... all his defence drops and your able to start delivering massive damage. I have a few laser carbines in my inventory so the second I run out of Powerups on one... I change carbines, it's like running out of ammo lol. I also concentrated on his health.

The second he was KDed... I was running far to have a better ACC, the second he was back on his feets.. I was rushing him in close combat.. Riflemen in close range are not that effective.

Humm, I hope that clears things up

I think your first line sums it up. I too have had some luck against Rifleman, until my Canape wears off......but of course I can't damage him in 80% comp armor, doc and food buffs.

Cm's can't heal their own mind, and since they can't use the advanced doc stims, will lose mind faster healing themselves.

and there-in lies the riddle.

it's not that i'm wondering how you didn't die so quickly...they could just not be so hot on the PVP side of things...it's...that like TAfirehawk said, w/ 80% comp, doc & food buffs...even w/ +85 carbine speed & a 2.6spd krayt elite carbine...you just can't kill them. if you ever get them near death it'll be to health, and that just takes a quick stim, & would take a long time to get that low.

now...i /salute you for your win, and i wish i could believe against an array of decent fighters a carbineer can win...but that just shouldn't be the case, especially at +60carb speed...the issue has been hashed out numerous times...the numbers speak for themselves.

They all had 80% resist armor, since each marines in our guild have the same standard armor.

believe it or not, I have been punching in armors like madness... yes, it's still not the best damage compare to what rifles could do to me but that's why I made sure they were blind

Well some of those profs should NEVER lose to a Carbineer, at least in the current state of the game. Rifleman/CM for instance..... one-on-one duel he should NEVER lose let alone get owned by a Carbineer. He can easily punch through your armor and heal all three pools to stop any damage you could do with these average weapons.

Nice wins, but this is a bit fishy to me.
