Thread: Carbineer Special Info (Updated for Publish 7)
This is the current status of all the carbineer specials. In green are specials the community feels are working as intended. In red are specials that are not working as described. In yellow are specials that are working as intended yet are redundant in that another carbineer special does the same thing but better, faster or with more damage. After a breakdown of the specials is a list of speed, damage and HAM modifiers for most of the specials. This list is helpful to identify specials that are the same as lower level versions (i.e. legshot2 and legshot3 are the same).

Novice Carbineer
Fullautosingle2 - single target - Random pool damage with a chance to stun, dizzy and blind. Average damage with fast firing rate. Please note while the chance to apply 3 states seems great, and it is, the chance to apply a state is low.
Actionshot2 - AoE/cone - This special applies an action hit followed by an action bleed and attempts to posture down all targets.
Assault Tactics
Scattershot1 - single target - Selects two random pools, hits those and applies the damage evenly between the two pools. Since the pools are picked randomly, it can hit two different pools or hit the same pool twice.
Wildshot1 - single target - Random pool damage with the chance to stun. Redundant: Fullautosingle2 (random pool damage/stun) and Legshot3 (stun).
Scattershot2 - single target - Selects three random pools, hits those and applies the damage evenly between the three pools. Since the pools are picked randomly, it can hit three different pools or hit the same pool thrice. This special does a lot of damage but since it often hits many pools the damage is often underestimated.
Wildshot2 - AoE/cone - Random pool damage with the chance to stun. Redundant: Fullautoarea1&2 (AoE/random pool/stun).
Carbine Marksmanship
Legshot3- single target - Targets action and has a chance to stun. This special is exactly identical to the Novice Marksman special Legshot2. Fix: In Publish 8, this special is being fixed. It’s damage is increasing and it is becoming AoE/Cone.
Crippleshot - single target - Random pool damage. Slow firing but big damage.
Carbine Counterinsurgency
Burstshot1 - single target - Random pool damage. Medium damage with medium speed.
Burstshot2 - AoE/cone - Random pool damage but hits many targets. Highest damage AoE/cone special.
Suppressionfire2 - single target - Random pool damage with a chance to posture down. Redundant: Suppressionfire1 (random pool/posture down) and actionshot1 (posture down).
Carbine Special Abilities

Chargeshot1 - single target - Random pool damage and a chance to knockdown Character goes through a "charge" animation when firing. Cannot be used prone or kneeling.
Fullautoarea2 - AoE/cone - Random pool damage with a chance to stun, dizzy and blind. Higher damage than fullautoarea1. Lower damage than burstshot2 but since it has a chance to apply three states it is very useful. Please note while the chance to apply 3 states seems great, and it is, the chance to apply a state is low.
Chargeshot2 - AoE/cone - Random pool damage and a chance to knockdown all targets in a cone. Character goes through a "charge" animation when firing. Cannot be used prone or kneeling.

are you sure that /chargeshot2 is confirmed working? I just mastered carbineer and i have yet to see it knockdown anything.
Cool info nova, i like the layout and everything. Will help me be more effective as carbineer.
I assume that this info is from test center, as it has the updated effects for publish 7.

Yes I pulled this info from TC which has Publish 7 on it right now. Publish 7 goes live tomorrow (Tuesday) so it is a tad early.
/chargeshot2 is broken on live (Publish 6) but is fixed on TC and should be fixed tomorrow once the patch goes live.
