Have the elite carbines gotten better since the update, and does anyone on eclipse have them now?

Don't waste your time they are far from "Elite" from whatI have seen so far.

Why do they call it a "monthly" storyline, when you can finish it in 2 days. Shouldn't they call it a "2 day storyline, every month"?

The problem lies in the lack of high quality metals needed to make the elite carbines.

I havn't yet seen an Elite Carbine made although I now have the certification. My question is whether or not I should commission one...are they worthwhile investments? Does anyone have a sample stats on one?

Thanks!

Yeah Elite Carbs still suck. My DH17 Shortnose (unsliced)is better than my EE3 sliced.

I am using an Elite Carbine myself, not the best slice on it, 111 - 192, 3.4 stk speed.

If you can get them (we can't anymore on Naritus) E11's are the best overall carbine. They have the same armor piercing as the elite, do only slightly less damage and are almost twice as fast with lower HAM costs. I have one of each carbine. Here is how they stack up for me:

E11 (fast, medium HAM, AR1, best overall). I use this all the time against most mobs. The speed is outstanding and after being sliced, the damage is about the same as my elite.

EE3 (fast, kinda high HAM, AR0, but bypass heat resistance)I use thisgun often on creatures vulnerable to heat, no duh.

DXR6 (slow, medium HAM, AR1, bypass acid) almost never use because of the slow speed. The only thing I use this thing on is grauls.

DH17 short (post patch) (fast, low HAM, AR0) Surprisingly enough, this is a completely decent gun. The HAM costs are the lowest of any carbine I have (thanks devs). I use this for low level MOBs, for spamming posture changes/knockdownsand for popping lairs to save my E11's condition.

Laser (slow, high HAM, AR2) Well, the only AR2 weapon we have. I have a problem with slow weapons, so again, I don't use this too much. I find the damage variation to be maddening. Whenever the s$%t is really on the line, it decides to bust out the lowest damage it can possibly do. Couple this with the slow speed and the MOBs get right on me before I have a chance to actionshot them.

Elite (slow, medium HAM AR1) The worst of all worlds really. Why would I ever use this gun? There is NO situation in which this gun is a better choice than my E11. At least some of the others have a tradeoff.

I have an Elite, E11, EE3 and an after patch DH 17. All of them are sliced and by far the DH 17 is the best weapon. I too, am on Naritus so E11's are no longer being made but it is a solid gun and better than my Elite Carbine by far.

I have found a very good use for my Elite carb though. A hunting buddy and I were out XPing, he is a Wookie Rifleman (Still in the Marksman tree though). Just using Action Shot for posture down (to keep MOBS at a distance) and the default attack I was getting 80-90% of the Weapon and Combat XP with my DH17 (speed 2.0). Trying to help him along I switched to my Elite Carb(speed 4.1) and did the same attacks. XP switched to around 60% of the total XP. So Elite carb does have a use, it allows you to not be an XP hog when in a group with friends (Spend the money on a good CDEF instead). Translation: Elite Carbine = Junk.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks the after-patch DH17 is a decent weapon. I managed to pick up an unsliced one for 3K with 61-161 dmg , 2.7 speed and very reasonable HAM costs. For once I'm not killing myself. Carbineers, this improved gun is worth a second look.

I dont understand why the made elite carbines are so sucky. I have a ultimate rare drop Elite Carbine. It dropped 2. day after launch. Stats are:

130-140 Dmg, 1.5 Speed, Sliced. Thats 90 DPS!

I have been offered 600.000 for it so far...

Funny, on Valcyn I've gotten a DXR6 sliced down to 3.1 and a Laser Carb down to 2.9. Is that too slow? Seems plenty fast for me. My E11 is pretty much a throwaway gun used onlyfor humanoid lairs. I've found that my DXR6 and Laser are pretty much the only weapons I really need. Used to love my EE3, but I almost never use it anymore since the others outdamage it so readily. I really wish the Elite did some other kind of damage. The stats on it seem pretty similar to the DXR6 except that it does energy damage--as if we need another energy damage carbine.
