Thread: what is the best way to make money?

well i have never had more than 150k and when i got it i was man i can do anything. but i want to get some cash cause i want to
start doint some pvp i have BH carbs 0020 and carbineer 0001 any help would be great.
P.S. for all those out there that would flame me for not seaching i just spent 1/2 hour doing just that.

Use money to get to BH carbs 0040 and Master Carbines. Don't try serious money making before that.
When you do - Mokk and Janta missions on Dantooine. Cripple Shot spammage - 39k in 20 seconds. Jump on bike, go to next mission. Repeat.

but i wanted to hear from carbineers not from every other money making proffs out there. i wanted to know what carbineers are doing for money.

What i did for money as a low level carbineer way back in the day was Imperial missions for like 4K a peice on Naboo

I'm at the beginnings of my carbineer career (1x11 with x1xx BH). I also have medical and basic artisan skills to allow me to craft the stimpacks to keep me going. There are usually two scenarios I have:
1) Buffed. I go to Coronet, get buffed in the starport, then head to Dantooine for quenkers. The first 3 missions have paid for the buffs and travel costs. The rest is gravy. Usually can earn decent money here, although it is quite boring.
2) Unbuffed. I actually enjoy this more, although the payouts usually are not nearly as good. I will craft up a bunch of stimpacks and pick up some missions on the starting worlds like Tattooine or Naboo. Typically I'll take on missions for the Empire. These missions will pay about 2-3k. I usually walk to the missions destroying whatever is in between, be it lairs or npcs.
There is another method of earning money that is VERY boring, but it can get some interesting loot kit items. I'll go find some meatlump spawn (think Cantina in Mos Eisley) and just beat the bag outta them for a while. An hour's work will earn some cash, and perhaps a few worthwhile loots. Although it can be amusing watching groups of the scrubs all fall to a single /actionshot2, it gets tedious and old very quickly.

I personally get buffed then head to the Dant Imp outpost and pick up the missions for 8k a peice. I'll accept 2 missions in the same direction so I don't have to travel far. After both missions are done I got 16-17k + whatever I loot from the rebs.
May not be the best way but I'm only like 1111 carbines so far so it works for me.

As a starting Carbineer, pick up Scout if you don't have it already, and kill creatures and harvest their meat/hide/bone.
Train as high as you can in the Hunting line so as to harvest the most per kill. The trick, though, is to check your Galaxy Trade forums for the current resource in demand, be it hide or meat, etc.
At hunting 4, you can probably harvest anywhere between 30-50 units of organics per kill (or more). If this resource is worth 20 cpu, that's at a minimum600-1000 credits. If it's worth 50cpu, that's 1500 to 2500 a kill.
If you're lucky and a great resource spawns and the rate is 100 cpu (somewhat common.. it can even go to 150 or 200 at times!), then that's already 3000-5000 credits per creature kill. Assuming there are, say, 5-6 creatures per lair, you're looking at some 30k per mission in harvests alone.
This of course assumes that the resource is in demand, but at the very least, you can always atleast sell misc harvested organics for 5-10 cpu. The trick is to make good relations with Doctors and Armorsmiths (mainly), who are in constant need of such resources, and seeing who will pay for what shift.
You're not quite PvP ready yet, I'm afraid. You'll need some 400k to get a suit of armor, and perhaps even more to get the right slices (especially on the critical pieces.) You'll need enough to be able to buff whenever you want (10-15k), afford the very best of foods (buying crates of all the required foods can cost about a million credits or so) and let's not forget the weapons, which are also pricy.
I can understand your thirst to PvP.. but preparation is half the battle.. (the other half is knowing your opponent.)

Get buffed, get a solo group, take 30k Janta and Mokk missions out of the Mining Outpost. Use a bike, hit the lair, ignore the mobs.
An easy million an hour. Anyone remember the old Baz Nitch missions?

I am waiting for Dathomir carnivore to spawn on server and we can march novice carbineers to a rancor filled doom
But he has a great point, when i started off correlian avian meat was in high demand, around 40cpu so needless to say. Carrian spats were decent;y challenging plus the harvests add up quickly.

well for me i found the best money maker was doing the sycthe quest and selling the schem, which i sold for a cool 1mil, but you'll be good to get 500k...anyway at the guy who said get buffed take some mokk missions and shoot lair and ignore the mob...that really dosnt work to well at the lower levels of carbineer and iknow from experience, ie getting killed and knocked down from them, that isuntil i get some more boxes, they're still gonna be risky and my skilss are 3011 carb and bh0100 so once i get 2 more boxes on the bh linei get speed capped i believe

and then those loin cloth wearing bastards will pay!!!but for some money making try joining a hunting group that goes after sharnaff, you'll only recive around 3k a mission but its not that bad and often real fun, jus make sure your tank dosnt kill em instantly and you can get some nice xp off them also
