come on now, in ANH you know the Stormies were useing carbines and they stuned the princess....
Give carbineer a master box stun carbine.

do you realize how unbalanced carbineers would be with a stun weapon? we'd be nerfed a week after they added the schematic for it.

how would carbines be unbalanced? I hope you are being sarcastic. rifleman haveap1 jawa , pistoleers have geno pistol(albeit very rare).

Nubs.... please shoosh with stun weapon pleas.
Stun weapons do not be added. Armor needs to be balanced so that stun isn't the end all uber damage type.

Why should we give anyone stun damage. Why is it that that is the only way you can win PvP (according to some people).

We Carbineers need to be realistic! The devs are NOT going to nerf armor. Everyone mise well get a stun weapon. I'm sorry that's how it is, but the devs created this monster. PvP is going to be screwed for a LONG time.

Jerick is exactly right as much as I would like to see armor changed right now we have to be realistic. Are they going to put forth that much effort into changing armor? probably not. And JL88, you say kd dizzy with stun is a problem. Well, fencers can do it way easier than carbineers. If you do manage to stick the full auto it wont stay for long, then you have to land a charge shot. As you may think charge shot is not a kd dizzy but just a kd.2 seperate shots to kd dizzy. It says you are a trickshot on your sig. Well that means you have 50 kd defense. With one thaktilo you can make your kd defense very good. So you havenothing to worry about in terms of kd.Tka as kd dizzy, fencer, bh. Not carbineer exclusive.Right now carbineers dont do **edit** in pvp compared to say, rifleman, because stun is the only thing that most composite is vuln to. That is a big problem because the people who are best in pvp are fencers, because ofstun baton, rifleman, because of ap1 jawa, and cm, because armor/defenses doesnt effect poison, disease. Carbineers need a stun weapon or an ap3 weapon to be effective. If they are not going to impliment stun, then make elite carbine ap3.

Its true, at Master Level we don't get **edit**. No master special, no melee defense, only 25 ranged defense which is laughable. Bounty Hunters have more speed than Carbineers who are "unequaled in their ability with a carbine" - we get +60 speed at master, what a bunch of sh!t. It makes no sense that a rifle can shoot faster than a carbine. Oh yay, we get AOE attacks... so do riflemen, and not to mention they do a hell of a lot more damage than ours, and sticky theirs states way better than ours. To top off, our weapon select is pretty crappy, our ONLY (nym's certf. is still broken) carbineer-specific weapon is the Elite, which really isn't that good with 110-180 3.8 unstocked, AP1, energy.. I could get almost the same stats from a republic blaster which fires much faster. Lets not forget we can't even target the mind pool (except scattershot, which isn't that good), so we plink away at people with buffs and high end energy resists, and they just regen it faster than we can deal it, and if somehow we getan uber-krayt weapon they just drop a stim B and all our efforts are gone. While we're shooting at something without buffs we kill ourselves faster than it/they can kill us. Our profession is gimped and borked, there is no logical reason to chose carbineer over any other Combat profession, we are at the very bottom of thefoodchain and it sucks. Don't sit there and tell me that carbineers don't need a stun weapon after reading all the above disadvantages, we need something that balances out our defenselessness and uselessness in PvP and high end PvE. Pistoleer and Riflemen get stun weapons, why can't we?

oh so wrong. if you aren't effective as a carbineer then you aren't playing it right or have your weapons made correctly. no one wants a new carbine more than i do, but stun would make us overpowered. riflemen play pvp the exact way it should NOT be played, by buying a good jawa and spamming headshot3 over and over. what would the average carbineer do with a stun carbine? spam cripplingshot. there's absolutely no strategy involved. personally, i love having to work harder for pvp kills. a single carbineer pvp kill takes more skill than twenty riflemen pvp kills, and that's something we should be damn proud of.

do you have 180min+ elites to screw up your enemy's ranged mitigation? how about 100min+ lasers? do you have any carbine speed tapes? do you use speed pups? i personally use 81min lasers with speed slices and a speed pup on them with fullautosingle2 as my main shot, not crippling shot. i fire fas2 at the speed cap and it's handier because it sticks states.
carbineer is an awesome proffession, and like everyone else i immediately thought how much it sucked and that it needed new weapons and more speed. then i spent 8million, that wasn't a typo, on getting perfect carbines, carbine speed tapes, and i still have 14 form-fitted stocks and 12 precision scopes sitting in my safety deposit box for when i need more carbines. i have a belt with +9 carbine speed (that i jst won today, nootch), my shirt has +4 carbine speed. you cannot believe the difference with the extra +13 speed, it's insane.
i really think stun is a bad idea. and ap3 is even worse, then we'd be able to solo everything in the game like riflemen can, which shouldn't happen. there has to be class distinction, and mainly ours is to be a support role. i miss being able to solo everything (which i did often back in my fencer days) but as a carbineer i don't expect to be able to solo everything. our specials are geared heavily towards support, ie firing chargeshot2 at a group of melee people running towards us to help out the main fighters, and if i'm lucky i can dizzy one or two before they stand up as well.

I guess your right, but im just being realistic. Are the going to do the combat balance soon? Dont think so. In the state of the game now, we do need a stun weapon. No matter what tactics you use a carbineer against a rifleman, the rifleman always has a better chance, mainly because of their ap1 stun weapon.
