Thread: Soloing a NS Elder

I'm a master carbs and got aggroed by one earlier, knocked 100k HAMoffher with my EE3 by kitingher before i ran intoa NS ranger. I kited and killedthe rangerand went to look for the elder again but couldn't find her otherwise i would have killed her easily.
So has anyone soloed an elder?

I have once and it took to long and wasnt worth it lol, take a tank friend

I have once and it took to long and wasnt worth it lol, take a tank friend
yeah, I did it with my main who is Master TK, and my alt who is a carb stacker

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but there's no way you could inflict any damage to a nightsister elder using a ee3 (heat) since the only damage types that can damage nightsister elders are Energy, Blast and Lightsaber.

Perhaps soloing elders is possible as a carbineer, but if so it takes a lot of time and armor... anyway, i'm not sure how a carbineer could deal with all the damage a nightsister elder can do...

as long as she dosnt use a stun buton u should be ok, the med ap weapons still hurt also.....in the end if she pulls the baton Im outta there or atleast try lol

Yeah sorry it wasn't my EE3 but my Elite Carbine (energy one right?). I just kept her as far back as possible and kited her, other than choking me on occasions when she caught up with me quickly she did no damage to me at all, it did take about 20mins to take the 100k off the health bar though. Probably would have taken about an hour to kill her which is rather a long time.

Not bad... 
Next time, use a Laser Carbine. It has armor piercing medium so it will inflict damage at least twice as fast.

I did once with a Laser Carbine by trapping an Elder on geometry. It was boring and I went AFK for several minutes by running a CrippleShot macro. No loot, either.
Moral of the story.. get a group - you'll loot a lot faster and it's a lot more fun

The coming CU will most certainly take away posts like this.....NO SOLO HIGH END CONTENT ANYMORE FOR ANY PROF - that is a major theme from the info the Devs have released so far.

if you really want a challenge try a nightspider clan elder or something like that. they have a little more HAM then a regular elder and much harder resists, like 80% to everything thats not 100% and heavy armor. took my group of 5 like 1.5 hours to kill it, it just doesn't die

Don't bother, you want to solo something on Dath for loot? Singing Mountain Clan Huntresses, They are vunlerable to heat. NS Eldars are really not worth it, especially when you can kill a huntress in less than 10 shots (seconds ... you better be speed capped if you plan on having a chance)

Killed a Spider Clan Sentinel once whilst sustaining pretty heavy injury...but did it. Unfortunatley when I went further into the cave and saw my next target I spammed Full Auto Area 2 instead of Single by mistake....the last mistake I ever made in that cave...lol.
