Well I ran the mission about 6 times and got tired of the trek so decided to break down and search for one through vendor search on the Bazaar. I came across this Nym's for 500k and while I figured it was a bit steep I needed a good Nyms. So what do you think - is this a decent Slugthrower?

Very nice Nym's. I got 3 with the same stats, but I only paid 50k for 2 of them. The third one is a Pre-CU Nym.

That's basically a fully capped Nyms. I've never seen one drop substantially better than that.

i'm glad i grabbed up a bunch of those before i left the game for a year. hopefully they convert good.

it can be a bit better (720 max dmg / 175 element is cap i think) but this one looks good enough

That N.Slugthrower is very near cap. I have had 2 of them, and the 1st one was just like yours. I have a better one now at the caps. Still, the differences aren't noticeable.

Slice it and ADK it if you can.

I had a 709, 173 ele, 82 sac and figured I'd go for the Gold.


I must of run Nyms 35 times in 2 nights... Best I got was a 712, 174, 82... it translated into 2 points of damage. Stick with that one, slice it and ADK it as mentioned above. It's as good as capped.

Yep, that is one one of the best right there, mine is 719 Max, 175 Elemental with a 81 SAC but those stats are pretty much the same as yours.

i loot a 352 -714 sac 81


and 174 acid yesterday


the dmg slice didnt work because of the cap but a 12% slice is fine too


this baby is anti deacy now

It is very nice. Now for the tricky question. You gonna go with a full speed slice or crit slice? My preference would be the crit slice.

I say full damage slice...


a nyms carb works wonders vs defender jedi templates...


a nyms sliced for damage, with a damage pup, using ranged/placed shotwill outdamage a "regular" carbine using any other special....you have the high min. damage + elemental damage to thanks for that

He won't be able to slice that gun for damage. The Nym's slicing cap for damage is 695.

After doing the quest a bunch to set up my Bounty Hunting Carbineer crew with slugs, I managed to get a capped Nyms. 360-720 Dmg, 175 Acid, 80 SAC, 2.25 Spd.
