Thread: Why do you love carbineer?

I love getting tells from FOTM rifleman #32423423 "Carbineers suxorz \/\/TF! Hacker!" I love the strategies and the techniques. The feeling would be comparable to taking a non-DOT pike and beating a Fencer/2hs/MasterBrawler.
for quite similar reasons:
not usable by roxx0r kids who want an "I win" button, and really kicks a$$es when used right.
I LOVE getting tells after the duel like "you damn cheater !" "u said u were carbineer, why you're using a disruptor rifle" (when they see they got pwnd, and see my master rifleman badge -dropped it- and think the dxr6 carbine is a dxr6b rifle)
I love to hang out in big cities, look at groups duelling here and there, and after a few minutes, ask the most FOTMer-like of the group for a duel... and win it ! LOL
I love when I'm in some solo group and we all talk about our templates, and I say "I'm using carbines" then some dude say "carbines suxx0r, I'm (insert FOTM) and I pwn !!!" then we duel and he bites the dust.
I love beign underestimated by arrogant kids, and then beat em eating their health pool
I love having a different template and using a different weapon as the usual VKs, Jawa Ion, or Stun baton thingies
seriously, carbineer is the funniest PvP prof in that game ! (k BH/Carbineer, but I'm quite sure a speed capped straight carbineer can do quite the same)

too bad carbineer requires either :
1) investment of a large amount of skillpoints
or
2) millions in skill tapes (and they won't even cap you with a 3.6 carbine)
to really achieve that feeling and appreciation for carbines.
And some carbineers do stand out in PvP... becuase they have the 250 mind fire/poison carbine? DoT shouldn'tmake a profession good...(Same goes for pikeman)

You are absolutely correct.....but what I love is that being a WELL PREPARED CARBINEER often can win a duel simply by using your mind.
It is also great to be different. Most people have heard how awful Carbineer is....and quite frankly it fits a fairly unique play style in the world of gaming....THINKING
So there is great joy to be found is succeeding where many others have failed.
And as I near 3,000 posts in this Forum, I have browsed other forums and quite frankly enjoy the people here more than anywhere else.
I also love that look in my opponent's eyes, as they lie limply on the ground, knowing they just got beat by someone with a "Master Carbineer" title.
Kinda the same thing... I love beeing underestermated nothing more fun then going into a Duel where the Oppersit thinks its gonna be a Walk in the Park... and then kicking his ass without seeing the HAM bar move on your self.
