Hello!

If you have not heard, I am the new carbineer correspondant. It appears SOJ has left the game leaving me with some big shoes to fill.

I have been reading the info on the correspondant forum and there is alot of digest. The Devs have provided a response to SOJ's top 5 issues. As with SOJ, I cannot say exactly what I see, but I would rate my impression as mixed. There is both good and not so good. I already recognize from reading all the responses to all of the classes that it appears the best way to submitt the top 5 issues was to have the issue be very specific and have a very specific fix associated with it. Telling the Devs that X was broken, please make it work right got better results from the Devs than saying our class is broken, fix us. In the meantime, I will be preparing a response the Devs and I will try to be very specific. I do not know if it will end up helping us specifically, but it cannot hurt to try.

I can tell there will be a great deal of movement in the coming months towards balance. If you have not, I highly recommend reading Thunderheart's recent comments on the creature/HAM/combat/weapon balance changes coming.

I also ask for your patience. Please remember I am not a Dev. I am merely a representitive of Carbineers. I will do my best to relay all of our issues to the Devs but in the end what they do with the information I provide to them is their choice and their choice alone.

Way to go nova. Sadly, I wont be staying with carbineer... too broken/buggy/costly and totally not fun for me. I hope you're ableget some so results from the devs, because I like carbines. mayble I'll return one day, but it wont be soon.

You can discuss stuff all you want...we have been for several months.

Until the Devs indicate they are interested in discussion, as opposed to just implementing what they feel is right, discussion is quite frankly pointless. Look at every major change the Devs have made and very very little of it has come from discussion on any forums. All the changes come right out of the blue.

Decay, the new HAM, etc.

This is my personal opinion as well, however its not the opinionI expect from someone chosen to be corespondent.

I am still waiting for TH's class update...the one that was supposed to be out 2 Tuesdays ago. He doesn't even mention it anymore. When TH can deliver on his own overhyped promises, I'll start to believe him. Until then, and until he actually has an impact on this game which at this point it appears no he doesnt, TH is just a fanboi who got a job....and apparently a job he cant handle.
