Are you folk content with the changes to your profession? Just curious.

I don't think anybody is overjoyed....most profs are in the same boat actually....so can't be too upset.


Of course if Carbineer actually had anything to do with the Role and Description listed in the CU Docs then we all would be UBER PLEASED

I am dissapointed really only eith the utter lack of AOE's now and the fact all my "used to be" awesome Krayt Lasers are shoddy now. My off the shelf Elite is better.

I enjoy carbineer more post-cu then I did pre-cu. I may be in the minorty, but I'm smiling!

no im not im weaker my old template was mbh pistols 0004 carbiner 0440 medic 0040 i could kill knights with a good fight.

but now im mc/mbh pistols 0404 and im like a nub playing around .


ive been this profession for 1 1/2 years thought i was getting upgraded im not a happy customer and the jedi do get a better upgrade again .


and mbh has never had any only this crap and nerfs

i don't think the CU is bad, i wish they'd put in some sort of PvP reduction again, and give us back our crowd control roll. i think we had a pretty strong crowd control, then the devs say we are crowd control so they take all our crowd control abilities away....

I'm pleased. (master carbineer, bh 0400 here). now i actually win in pvp. although it seems kinda like carbineer is no longer pve based and now more pvp based, example: im level 61 and have a lot of trouble with a level 71 squill ( why are they so strong now anyways?), but i can almost take out level 80 players. Hence, if i can almost kill lvl 80s at lvl 61, then ill abosolutelyown by level 80. carbineer hasnt been changed for better or for worse, its just been changed lol.

You are doing pretty great job in PvE 10 levels above......PvE and PvP are totally different worlds.

I can say i m mostly pleased how carbineer turned , but like TAf say,where is our crowd control???


Our only area specials are:


*fullautoarea 1/2 ( only good for pvp unless you got 1 tank for each mob in fight)


*Suppresion fire 1/2


( supposed to create a cone zone where ennemies slow down when they get in ? actually broken as all it does is only aggro mobs. Im not even sure it would be usefull if it worked as it has a "warming up" activation timer, enough time to pull out 3 other specials)


My only displeasure is purely cosmetic,our master weapon just use the E11 skin slighty modified.Sure itsstarwarsy if you re imp carbineer,but all the new nice looking carbines are either certed out of carbineer orare cl30 or lower( no real use when you re cl80). Unless you go MSL or MBH along, no new toy for you

I am ok with the actual combat changes, not perfect but working fine for me.


So far disappointed that we really did not get any viable new weapons that a Carbineer can use. They just made previous existing ones more viable the Elite and the E11 for example.


Any of the new ones that carbineers can use are to low damage to ever be used past level 54. So the more weapon choices that they were talking about leading up to the CU is not really there since after level 54 the only one most will use is the Elite and then the E11 at master. As in pre CU I only used 2 or three and in the post CU I will only use 2 or 3 and the only change is that instead of an Elite, DXR6 and Laser carbine I carry and Elite, DXR6 and E11.

Not happy here.


I've gone from Master Carbs, Master Marksman,BH 2400 to Master Carbs, Master BH, Marksman 0044and find my best weapon is my converted Assault Bowcaster (which is classed as a Rifle!!!).


So, as a Carbineer I'm actually worse off using a Carbine... ain't the CU great!

I am very happy, I no longer kill my self using specials.......................and leg shot with an elite or e11 Mk 2 seems to hurt allot as I seem to always take the agro..............

Not happy

We can do more now is not the right phrase since we can only dish out more damage as pre CU, thus we have an obvious higher impact on PvP and PvE with more damage but the uniqueness of carbineer aka crowd control is lost.

We lost a lot of our main pre CU task: area attacks and posture changes, both are striped down to a not very usefull single target KD and single target snare with supression fire broken.

I respec'ed into
BH 0044 : underhand shot and confusion shot, as well as eye shot and torso shot
Carb 0400 : leg shot and crippling shot
Pist 0403 : disarming and burst shot as well as stopping shot and fan shot

with this template I can do what I did pre CU as MCarb, apply "meaning full" stats and crowd control everything what a MCarb according to the Concept papers a MCarb should be able to do.
