Master Combat Medic, Master Carbineer is my template and I solo both of these. Including grand krayts. I just kick it off with a KD which saves me getting hit when I run in to electrolyte drain the target. Electrolyte Drain = 2 minute Combat medic snare that must be applied at 5m range. I then run circles around the target until either it is dead or the electrolyte drain is about to run out. If it is running out then I hit another KD and repeat until the target is dead. Given an open area you can solo anything with this tactic, even dark jedi masters.

Very easily. I'm a Master Smuggler/Master Carbineer/0404 Pistoleer and I regularly go out and solo Krayts, Goraxes, Kimogilas, and Peko Peko Albatrosses. Of course, when they fix Concussion Shot, I doubt I'll still be able to. It was fun while it lasted, though.

MCarb, BH 4004 and MCH. Yep, MCH. Even on lvl 86 giant canyons, my pets tick out 250 damage for every shotI take. It does help.

Exact strategy I use. I also have 0404 Pistoleer, so I usually hit it with a Stopping Shot, and throw a Nuerotoxin and Pyro toss onto it so it doesn't regen it's health while I am fighting it. Add in Crippling Shot with the Electrolyte drain, and it slows the thing down even more.

MBH / MCarbs / 4000 CM. With a Healing Eff shirt and a tape, I have the healing eff of an MCM basically. No problem soloing a Gorax. Krayts are a different story...

all you need is a good SAC carb, a root, and a snare and you are set

Master Carb/Master Doc - I've been able to solo an ancient krayt, level 94.

Master carbs, master bounty hunter, 4/0/0/0 CM (flavor of the month, I know) and I went krayt hunting for the first time last night. Up to canyon krayts were no problem at all to take out. I didn't try any grands, and I got an ancient down to about 33% before I screwed up and let him actually hit me. (It took waaaaaaay too long to be worth it though, at least with my fairly mediocre weapon.) Still, in my experience, a rooting ability may be handy but is NOT necessary to solo krayts.

A tip for krayt hunting: get a combat droid. They're fairly cheap, you barely ever need to replace them, and they do just enough damage to counteract the regen, which leaves them open to people who dont have CM for the poisons. Also, you dont even need a root; snare + KD is plenty if you use the circle of death technique.

yeah, i've been trying to figure that much out, is it worth it to stay 0/0/0/3 pistoleer for stopping shot, or go 4/0/0/0 Combat Med...
