Ok, seems like alot of people are going out solo and doing similiar level missions and are getting owned or getting XP very slowly. But last night I went out and got around 500k in an hour or so and actually had alot of fun doing it.

What you need to do is get into a group of 3-5+ people with similar levels (I'd suggest withen 10-15 levels). The wider the range of levels, the more people you need. Three good players around 10 can do this just fine. Having a healer really helps, but its possible to go without (just need good stims) and expect alot more regen downtime.

Ok so you got your group. Now go to a mission terminal and have everyone get missions in roughly the same direction. Try to pick lairs that don't have aggro (Like Seething Bols on Dantooine). I experimented with Dantooine but Im sure you could use other planets. Just use the nearest group mission WP and go down the line.

When you approch the lair, scan it a bit. First try to pick off the straglers. DONT USE AREA ATTACKS. Sometimes you can't help but aggro everything, when thats the case you gotta play smart. Healer needs to go crazy, and try to snare and root some of the mobs and concentrate fire power. People with area attacks should use those now (IE FullAutoArea rules). Whats great is, no matter if you hit it once, or did 95% of the damage, you get full XP, as long as you hit it. Also, they usually don't DB, so if you screw up (and it happens alot) you don't have clone and run back out.

Once your group gets into rythm, the XP flows like Vasarian Brandy. And its also alot more fun and intersting than solo quenker killing. Plus, just wait till double xp week, it'll be insane.

If you have any more tips post them here. Like I'm not sure how to pull 1 mob at a time effectivly.

For maximum XP gain, have some lvl 80 (or at least one) fighters with you. They can pull lvl 80 and lvl 81 missions for the group. Then you need to fight smart, having the toughest melee players (or a good pet) tank for the group. I was at lvl 21 and I had no trouble racking up big XP gains while grouped with lvl 80 players. It was so much fun that I want to try it again tonight.

Speaking of Vasarian Brandy in your post, it helps to have some with you. Then you can pretty much fire non stop (until you get filled up), and it really helps the XP gain. Oh yeah, forgot. If you have a root shot too, you can hunt things like one level below you with ease, just when it wears off be ready to start kiting.

Was doing about the same this evening. Grouped with 7-8 other CL 60-80ish....except we were taking rebel faction mission and doing ST camps. Its no problem if you have a doc with you, without one it can be tricky if you are pulling several mobs at once. In the end I made about 550 to 600Kish in about 1 hr and no deaths. This is definately the way to grind for FS xp

This only works if you have one elite profession mastered otherwise grouping works best. I am a Master pistoleer and needed to grind rifles and carbines. Most of your accuracy and speed is general meaning they will work with any weapon. If and when they fix root this won't work as well but will still be viable. I took mission levels that were 1 or 2 below my level. Quenkers and vors are good for this, not the ranged kind. Pull out a rifle and tap a creature. He will aggro. Switch to your carbine. When he gets in range use root or snare from your other master. Then just keep shooting. Most of the time the creature would die at my feet having hit me once or maybe twice. Rinse and repeat. I was getting 4k for 2 levels below me and 4.5k for 1 level below me. I managed to get rifles 4 and carbines 4 in a couple of hours. Just because your carbines doesn't mean you can'twhip out a laser rifle to pull one creature at a time and then wax them with a carbine using pistol specials. So it's a mix and match kind of thing. Soloing isn't dead it just takes a different kind of thinking.

If they were really Level 80 creatures, your entire group would have been 1 hit incapped instantly.....so they mission level probably auto-adjusted down and probably too low and thus 1XP per kill.

Take missions +/-5 levels from your group to get XP.

If you were killing random spawns, then they were probably below Level 40 and giving you 0XP.

OK before the double - XP thing I was getting over million XP an hour. When they get the double XP thinng working right and with inspirational buffs this method will get you well over 2 million XP an hour. First thing you will need is a group of eight people being from CL 50 - 80. I highly recommend doing this with your guild or people you know. Next get factional missions all in the same direction and around the same distance, make sure everyone gets to missions possibly the level 82 ones. Next walk out to the area DO NOT take a mount as there will be a very large spawn and might lag. The spawn rate will be 2-3 NPC per group member so up to 24 NPC per mission and if they all spwn near each other up to 384 NPC. Now comes team work, assign a leader this person calls out the target. Every attacks the one target and after one shot from everyone will be dead. If no one used an area attack nothing else will get aggro'd. However if one person did an area attack that person and anyone near them is as good as dead. With good team work and communictions you be able to complete this with out a problem. You can even pair up and take out 4 targets at a time. Be parpared to back each other up and listen to the targets being called out. I am guessing a SL with volley fire might be nice here since one shot from exeryone will kill the target. Remember you only need to get one shot in to get full XP. At this level you are looking at almost 6K per kill add in a working double XP and inspirational buffs you are looking at close to 12K per kill. Also if all goes well there is great feeling of accomplishment when finished and loots of loot and credits and FP.
