Thread: Publish 7 major changes!

Preliminary Combat Balance Changes: As part of the ongoing Combat Balance, the team has made some preliminary changes to combat in order to equalize some of the larger changes that have been made recently.


Defensive Modifiers will have a hard cap with profession template stacking. Defense stacking will no longer stack beyond the intended combat calculation limits causing the defender to be nigh invulnerable.
Carbineer Specials have been improved:
The dizzy effect in /fullAutoSingle1, /fullAutoSingle2, /fullAutoArea1 & /fullAutoArea2 have been improved
/burstShot2 was changed from a single target to an AE cone attack
/actionShot2 now hits all targets in the area of effect.
Defense / To-Hit Fixes:
Melee attackers now get a To Hit bonus when attacking targets with ranged weapons.
Dodge enhancing Food now decreases your chance of being hit.
Accuracy increasing food now increases your chance to hit your target.
Dead Eye buff now increases your chance to hit your target.
Warcry has been changed from being a single target lock down preventing it from attacking to a method of “crowd control”. Enemies can be temporarily prevented from attacking as long as they are not currently being attacked themselves.
Bleed DoT Improvements: Targeted pool bleeds (/mindShot1 & 2, /healthShot1 & 2, etc) now hit their intended pool on the initial strike as well as the bleed damage.






Burst shot 2 being AOE? Kinda


Actionshot2 and AOE bleed would have been useful HAD THE NOT JUST NERFED BLEEDS


Dizzy effect fixed thats good...


Where is our Speed imporvement? Geebus dont they reazlize how pathetically low our DPS is?

Well this sounds pretty good to me, now I'm really glad I decided to stick with carbines. Some more speed would of been nice though.

hmm i like the idea of having the 2nd lv spec being AoE, but to expand on that a little what they should do is make every 2nd lv spec be AoE like full auto 2 would be AoE with dizzy, Wild shot 2 would be AoE stun like it is now, full auto area 2 would just be a plane AoE attack (maybe a little bit stronger then the others) and have burst shot 2 be AoE and blind, scatter shot 2 would be a AoE with no stat effect(it hitting all 3 ham bars is spec enough)and we alrdy got chargeshot 2 with a AoE KD (if they would fix that)

area dizzy with cs1 will be great, area dizzy with a working cs2 will be amazing. Maybe cs2 is on the list for publish 8?

well its a start...bit late but hey i cant wate.



The warcry being changed bothers me though...Charge shot followed by warcry is a killer pvp combo grrr



but if i have a dizzy its all good hehe : )

I just wish they'd give us an extra uber bone so we could enjoy a week or two of being gods of the battlefield. Like ... a Scatter shot9 that would own.

This is great. Now we'll be able to do dizzy+KD combos, all for a measly 92 points! And people can still dabble in BH carbineer and become extremly skilled with carbineer.


I hope they fix chargeshot2 too.

Well.. these changes are all well and good folks.. but they.. well.. they weren't on my personal wish list.

Suppression Fire 2 = AOE stance down to PRONE
Fixing Charge Shot 2
Carbine Speed
Carbine Selection
Skill Mods
Defenses

That's assuming one heck of a lot there, isn't its Nova? Won't trust it until I (at least) see some hard data on the revamp.

No matter what really happens in Publish 7, we should just be happy to be mentioned for fixes and not more nerfs (if there is anything left to nerf ).


I think we are starting to see the Devs plan of increasing AoE attacks, at the second level.
