Thread: How much damage can a Master Carbineer deal?

we deal damage? lol I thought we were only good for laying states.

On an armored/PSGed opponent with synthsteak, we deal about 5 damage, until you get a dizzy KD, then its about 100 damage. We're a support glass unless templated with, like BH carbineer which hits the speed/accuracy cap making carbineer better than rifleman(Dizzy KD in 2 seconds, same speed as TK). Or take Carb/CM, and be a uber support class. Carbineer Goes well with almost any support profession, and is good for almost all PvE, Nightsisters excluded. For PvP, go for DXR6 or Elite, for PvE, Go laser.

Hi,
I did about 200-300 per hit to an unarmored-no-food MRifleman pc with capped confuseshot with 200-300 (about) DXR6 after successfully landing underhand KD. Probably did 250-350 per hit if I swapped to cripplingshot. It was all good with Rifleman having very little KD resistances heehee. (But on the next two rounds, the rifleman decapitated me in 2 hits. We were having UnBuff Duels.)
In PvE, I like my Elite Carbine and EE3. They are wonderful to have along with a DXR6. You can hunt Janta / Mokks to make money on the side. I dont like going to PvEing with a laser carbine. It has poor accuracy at short range and Janta/Mokks tend to get pretty close. There are only few PvE situation that calls for Medium AP that cannot be handled with ACID/HEAT damage alternatives. If you need anything else, you won't be able to kill it anyway with carbines. (Pull out your PowerHammer, Stun Baton/Geo etc etc)

My Laser Carbine is about 612 max damage I think.....but using that:
CripplingShot 7.5X = 4590
AP2 vs AR0 = 7172 for PvE AP2 vs AR1 = 5738 for PvP
75% PvP Reduction = 1434
0% Energy Resist = 7172 Standard 80% Comp = 287
Standard 40% PSG = 172
KD 1.5X = 10,758 KD 1.5X = 258
Those are MAX numbers, not DPS

Well until you compare the numbers to other profs and look at DPS.

i have read forum usage and i still dont fully understand and if im asking the wrong guy tell me but will carbineer get any etter with this so called combat revamp as i am a master carbineer/architech on kettermore and i struggled to make cash before they nerfed solo missions

I was an Architect/Carbineer for many, many months.....last year. These days Architect is not a profitable business for most, whereas I was able to make 9 figures ![]()
The Combat Upgrade will balance all of SWG's combat but don't expect it to be a cash cow by any means. And remember, somebody that commits 250 Skill Points towards combat or crafting will always be better than a mix of combat/crafting.
In the end, do what is FUN, this is a game after all ![]()
BTW, nobody but a RED name can give any info on the Combat Upgrade, there is a VERY STRICT NDA in place.

i think thats an unfair comparison of dps. have carbineer use an ee3 or an elite carbine using crippling shot and see.
