Is there anything in all this info to make u think that stun batons will become AP1 or anything other new weapons that will b? I am a lil ticked at the lack of damage produced, not askin for 4k damage every second but with stun armor and 80 percent kinetic the stun baton and gaffi do lil to nothing.

Stun baton used to be ap1. I'm not sure why they nerfed it I doubt they will change it back.

Its rare but if you can find a master weaponsmith with the right stuff see if you can get yourself a very well made vibroblade. I've seen a few that came close to a well made gaffi but are AP1.

So I haven't seen anything on when the rebalance is going to take place. nor have I seen any response or updates to the problems nova has submitted to SOE about our doomed profession. Where are the responses? WHere are the updates? it's not that hard for them fix this tuff. Novamarine, care to give us an update?

I would like to note, I've been playing for quite some time but I'm more of a lurker on these boards than anything else, but I'm just really tired of being sub-par.

First, it has been stated in two places I believe that Publish 10 an 11 are for the Combat Balance. Second, we are not a doomed profession.....
Lastly, Nova gives us every update possible within hours every single time....
Oh my standard disclaimer, go read the FAQ ![]()

Carbineers are not "sub-par", and I see no reason why this profession is "doomed". If anything, the combat revamp will strengthen the carbineer profession as compared to the others, as the carbineers are the most in tune with how the devs envisioned them working (as I recall).
The reason why you haven't heard very much about the combat revamp is that there is very little to hear about. It's still in development, and everything is probably still in flux. And what they do know, the devs are being closed mouthed about because, well, look what happens whenever TH makes an official statement about anything even remotely controversial, or what happened after TC2 went live.
I for one hope the devs start preparing people for what is to come (such as saying things like speeds being changed so riflemen can't fire as fast as pistoleers), but not give any specific details. I would love to know about them, but a lot of very hard things need to be done (read: major nerfs across the board to everything), and prematurely tipping their hand will make them that much harder to implement. I would love to know what is to come, but there will be a lot of unnecessary (and non-sensical) pushback from the player baseif released this early...
Edit: 9,756 more to go...
And either I need to learn to type faster, or find a way to slow TAfirehawk down...

Shouldn't that be "FAQ that is STICKIED on the top of the forum"? I didn't see the "stickied" in capital letters.
Edit: 9,755 more to go... (can't count...

so basically all we can really do is speculate that in the next 4 months(at the earliest) once the combat "rebalances" have been put inplace, that we will be stronger. I can't believe sometimes that I spent the $50 at launch to get this game only to wait over a year till carbineer(my chosen proffession) is halfway playable.

You will find that many people, myself included, find the existing carbineer is very playable and fun.
Also, it's not like you are forced to be a carbineer. If you dislike it, just change your profession. That's the beauty of the SP system, it's not like you are forced into being a cleric for the end of time (and thus very much need it to be balanced to everything else). Having professions balanced is a good thing and should be done, but it's not like if pistoleers are 10% weaker than everything else the game is fundamentally unplayable.
Going one step beyond, it's not like SOE is forcing you to play. If you find the game objectionably (as many people I know do), just cancel your subscription.
Edit: 9,754 more to go...

Stop paying $15/month and go sell the game on EBay.
The rest of us are having plenty of fun with SWG.
I hate to sound cold, but if you want to come in HERE and make fun of Carbineer AND complain about paying for it......go do something that you enjoy.

Ok, well the combat revamp will be launched 7 months ago according to the devs. But I suppose the handful of jedi (was a handful when the decided to push back the Combat Revamp) was a higher prioriety than pretty much every combat player in the game. So in the mean time they've completely revamped jedi front to back, worked on the SE, revamped Image Designer a few times, given CMs some good stuff so they can ruin combat a little more (halva and venom), revamped Image Designer again, given some new really good guns to the professions that really dont need them but neglect the professions hurting for a new gun, and revamped Image Designer again. Hopefully we'll get a rebalance by x-mas.
