Hello all.

I mastered Carbineer today. I now am both master BH and Master Carbineer. I speed cap any carbine, accuray is +200 counterattack is +105. I have all the basic carbines made of high quality and all have nice damage slices on them. I duelled a friend today who is a master rifleman/master Swordsman. He whooped up on me so bad. it really got to me.I do realize that I wasn't using any power-ups, but I did have food/buffs (So did he) but it wasn't like I barely lost, I could barely get his HAM to even move. I laid all the various states on him, even got him on his back at one point, but still, I could barely touch him. Either I completely suck, or it's the BH/carbineer template??? (I'm not expecting to rule the world, but to be competitive would be nice)

I like the thought ofBH/Carbines. I like the state effects, ranged KD, and the BH concept, but geez, what am I to do...run around and pick on Newbs all day?

I think that the one thing that will frustrate me the most will be what they do after Combat Upgrade. This is a part of a quote from Thunderheart. "And with the completion of these changes, every player will have the freedom to re-allocate their character’s skill points as they wish to take advantage of the new, enhanced combat system." Does this mean, that if the CU fixes ranged combat, and anyone who sees that ranged combat professions such as BH/Carbines is a nice profession, that they can just instantly chage to it just like in test center? All my efforts can be gained by some jerk in 3 seconds like on test center? I hope this is not true. I just hope it's not true.

I hope this is not true also, but I think the devs expect there to be a number of ppl who don't like the balance, and its effect on their profession, and are just giving us the chance to change it.

hmm...was your friend using his rifle or his sword? You need to kite him... make him use his rifle

You can re-template with the amount of skill points you used

From anything to anything? So a Master Image Designercan change to become a master Bounty Hunter? I do hope they put limitations on this. My hope is that we can re-template only between professions that we've already mastered.

Although I don't support the free SP re-allocation at all really, perhaps a somewhat fair method could be to divide the skill trees depending on the type of XP they use. So, you'd put pistols, carbines and rifles into one group, heavy weapons in another, various melee XP in another, crafting XP in another etc. With, of course, special XP like investigation XP, slicing XP and such points that you can't get without having that exact tree. So, if you have 50 SP invested in a normal ranged profession (not a heavy weapon based one, for example), you could invest 50SP in another ranged profession.

Most likely from anything to anything. The reason, I'm guessing,is because professions may be changing "roles" so that effectively, to keep your current template's functionality or playstyle, you'd have to re-grind 2-3 new professions, which isn't quite fair.. especially for casual players.

Skill re-allocation is the least of your worries, however. As a MBH/M. Carbineer, it should be possible for you to take out a Rifleman/Swordsman.

What's the effectiveness on your armor? Are you using a PSG? Synthsteak? Were you killed by themind pool? Knocking down your opponent once is not enough.. you have to keep him/her down in order to inflict significant damage.

What kind of weapons were you using? What's the damage on your carbines? What specials did you use? SprayShot, FireKD/UnderhandShot as well as CrippleShot and ScatterShot2 should be your prime specials, along with ActionShot and SuppressionFire for posture-downs.

What did your opponent do to you to defeat you? Was he using Rifles or Swords?

I got a Nice 113-719 2,3 speed Carbine Puped and Sliced ofcause Master Bounty Hunter and Master Carbineer Pistoleer 0030

How you Beat him is ofcause Pup your Weapon, Eat, Brandy and try to hit the timer so you have 3 Brandy on at the same time and maybe able of taking 3 Canape For heaven Shake dont forget your PSGs he prolly had one on against you because even with a 500 Damage Carb you should be able to Rock his Health

Use your Beloved SprayShot and then Knock him down with Fire Knock Down when Down Spam Crippling Shot when he gets up use Actionshot2 or Supression Fire2for making em Kneel if he tries to get up then he will get down again try the Fireknock down again. and keep Crippling Shoting him.

you can do more Damage to him then him to you.

naa, use chargeshot instead of kdfire, it will land much more often, you probablyhave a better chance of kding using underhandshot than you would firekd...

I don't think actionshot2 is a great posture changer in pvp, I only use it to land the bleed, if it changes their posture its a bonus...

Just because you mastered carbineer to go along with your master bounty hunter, doesn't mean carbines is the only thing useful to you. Your pistol and LLC still have there place. Torso shot and eyeshot are great individual HAM bar attacks. The LLC is a deadly weapon, especially when your target is KD. If you see a tactic isn't working, you have to switch tactics. Doing so under combat can be extremely difficult, so you need to practice all the skills available to you to be adept at it. If you rely on only one tactic, and your oppenent knows how to shut it down, you're done.

It's my opinion that MC/MBH is one of the strongest templates out there, but it's only the player's ability to use it that makes it so.

I hear you wont be able to stack professions. Meaning either A) Stack the stats, or B) Can only take one profession.

That's you're main problem, rifleman is really tough to beat with any other ranged profession + he has master swordsman which will add even a little more to the ranged defense.
unless swordsman doesnt come with ranged defense. (I'm not completely sure)
