"Combat upgrade"!? Was that a mistake or have devs started to call the Combat Revamp, Combat Upgrade now?
Yeah, its been mentioned in a couple places now that the Revamp is now an "Upgrade".
If you read between the lines of their posts, what they are up to is more than just alterations of the existing system, buta ground up retooling of the whole she-bang. That was part of the reason they put it off till after JTL, the scope of the project outgrew a few Publish tweaks here and there.

Congrats to all the selected Sandbox testers!
I have full confidence in your abilities to dissect oursoon-to-be-upgraded profession and keep us updatedon what's new on the Carbineer front.
Out of curiosity, what are all the testers' templates? I know a few are BH/Carbineers.. I'm wondering if there are any defense-stacked ones in there..
TA's an admitted defense stacker. ![]()
I've been a Master Carbineer with Creature Handler, Squad Leader, TKM, and BH 1403 and 0440 at various times.
Ah hehe that's right. I just wanted to make sure that our "breed"

wouldn't be forgotten in the testing. I would have applied, but my time is already limited as it is.. so I fully expect TA to cater to my many questions concerning the future viability of the defensive approach.
Heh, TA's already told us here on the Carbineer boardsthat once we're in, he's going to be tasking us on different templates pretty hard to see what works, what doesn't and whether the changes will keep us effective. I'm betting that even though we're coming to the table with existing knowledge from our own templates, by the time we're done with the 'box, we're going to have 6 people who know the Carbineer profession inside and out from a number of perspectives.

BTW, these guys will be playing the template I tell them to play
Yeesh, been a Correspondant less than a month and already a taskmaster.
Just my luck, he'll make me grind all the way to Master Carbineer with ancritically failed CDEF made by a Novice Artisan.
LOL, seriously, we did agree to that coming in. Along with the condition that we might be asked to actually grind out skills to see how the new balance affects progression.
