I've been told like five different ways to start...people say talk to Nym, then talk to Jinkins, talk to a guard...

...people who've gotten this gun, how'd you start?

Nym's Slugthrower Carbine Quest --

just like you said, its a total of 3 missions, expect to shlep 6000m to each cave.

For real? So the Droid Engineer cave is actually part of the quest?

Talk to two of Nyms guards. One is Jenkins, cant remember the others name.

Finish both quests for the guards, then you can talk to Nym himself. Finish his, and the Slug Thrower is yours.

The Droid cave by the Volcano? No. Don't have to go in there for his quests.

Very easy to do....

Does anybody know how to recover Nym faction? I think I tried killing one of the factions that killing Nym raised once, and it didn't give me any Nym faction either way.

Being an Imp, I wasn't too concerned with the filthy rebel sympathizer. But now I'm beginning to think perhaps using him to get what I want, then betraying him might be in order.

Nym Faction can be regained by killing Hutts and I believe Canyon Corsair (I'm not quite too sure).

As far as themepark order goes, it is in the following order:

1) Talk to Jinkins(I think, you should know because there is only one you can get a mission from) and he sends you to a droid cave about 6km's away, bring him some special part and drag it over his body.
2) Talk to Kole. Goto the gas mines about 3-6km away (don't remember) and then return the part he wants.
3) Finally talk to Nym who sends you to a research facility to bring back a grenade and a harddrive.

After that, your done! Its quite easy really!

Thanks Blac, and all -- that's what was tripping me up -- there are multiple droid caves. :/

I talked to one of the guards I think it was Jenkins and he sent me to see "the guy" I went and talked to him about an imperial base then that was the end of it, no wp from him to go to the base

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong here?

Keep asking jenkins questions... and eventually he'll give you the wp to the droid cave. (it's not the same as the POI droid cave)

Also, has anyone tried completing this a second time? I'd like to know if it's possible. I heard you get a badge with it now as well, and I'd like to do it a second time to get the badge. (since i got my carbine pre-patch)

Where is the memory module located for the last mission? I've looked all through the complex and cant find it

what are the stats on the carbine?

I just did this mission and got 2 sets of each item I was supposed to recover from each mission Plus during the last mission none of the npc's at the imp research lab attacked me due to some bug...But I was shaking as I tip-toed past that droideka at the door

Fun quest tho, definitely worth the time.

I just finished the quest a few hours ago (I'm posing from work now). I had this exact same thing happen to me. I'm not complaining though.

And yes, this quest is pretty fun!
